the difference really is night and day.. what i used to have sounds flat in comparison, no distinct highs and lows as with this rip

Well clearly this is the best thing ever. Seriously though the holy trinity of Finity, Forest Moon, and Skimming Stones sounds amazing.

I'll do the same thing with side B but there are a few tracks I need to track down first; I've had a few mixed-bag torrents and file-sharing escapades haha. The good rip is a 192kb/s mp3. The bad rip is 160kb/s. Anyway, I'll get round to it -eventually- :P

why? just download the 192kb/s rip he's using to piece it together. to my surprise that's the one i had ever since 2009 or so. someone uploaded it, like, yesterday in that other thread. seriously.

also, not to be a bummer i always am, but all of this can be achieved using a crossfade function in winamp.

and YES, maybe i am a bit of a dick, but you guys don't help.

You make some good points, yeah, but the 192kb/s rip that I found was improperly tagged and labelled and I couldn't find one which was not like this, so at least I'm saving -some- people some time. This definitely is higher quality than the rip in the other thread, unless I'm missing one.
Do you have the 192kb/s rip of side B? the one I found has about 60% of the songs 192kb/s and the rest 160kb/s... which is obviously not a lot of good to anyone. Either way you would be doing some people a favour by uploading it, I can host it on my server if you like.
