For reals? I dunno, I've liked them :> But maybe I just enjoyed seeing Twilight freak out a little too much. And I was totally excited to see Luna make an appearance. I love 'reformed bad guy' characters.

Why? She's not sorry. The people working on the show are glad people are so excited about it. Tara Strong is having a -ball- with her fans.

No, I mean having your dox dropped on the internet and having to disconnect your phone because trolls and people without social boundary respect call you and act ridiculous. That and the rule 34 (although that unfortunately comes with any fandom).
Whether she's sorry or not, I sympathize. Here she wanted to just make a cartoon, and it exploded, which is good but comes with downsides as well.

Well, let's just say it CAN be a bad thing. It isn't inherently bad, but it does bother a lot of people depending on what's happening in the rule 34. The reason I'm sympathetic about it is because Lauren herself event said on her DeviantART page that it's very awkward and that she wishes people hadn't told her about it.
But yeah, my main sympathy was about the aforementioned event. It has to suck pretty bad to have so many trolls.

Lemme jump in on this. I agree that fans need to respect people who work on the show. The internet is the internet, but keep it sane with people involved in the show
I watched an Andrea Libman (voice of Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie) Q&A and she says she is skeptical of whether or not to open fan emails anymore because people have sent her "dirty links" (probably R34), which I think is just stupid. Like, what the hell are you trying to do with that? It's just dumb...
Ashleigh Ball (voice of Rainbow Dash and Applejack) seems to be more laid back. I listened to an interview and she says she checked out a lot of the fandom, and has actually watched the .MOV videos, which I found cool that she wasn't offended by that stuff.
