So, I'm giving my wife a little bump massage tonight (brownie points innit?) when.....I swear........no, imagined it....... no, there it is again!....... something MOVED

She's now 18 weeks gone. This means baby's ears are now in full working order. I've just spent tonight playing Stars of the Lid, Loscil, Rustle of the Stars.

Tomorrow night, I'll have to break out the big guns. Question is: which BOC track/album do I start with?!?!

Wake up junior. Your education starts now!

Obviously Music Has The Right To Children is the way to go here! The Color Of The Fire!

You know, the thought of being able to raise children on good music makes me want to have kids! It undoubtedly shapes them in their formative years.

Dude I heard that if babies/toddlers hear out of tune music, it really damages their musical ability and such. I don't know for sure thought. The thought of raising kids on good music and art makes me want to actually get married and have kids :D

I've read that if they hear discordant music, it can affect them. Then again, if you read the internet long enough you'll find an argument to support/undermine any possible theory. Think I'll put a playlist together and pick out some of the more ambient pieces, Corsair for example.

Correct 100%.

The first scan we had was a good example of that. I knew what we were going to see - I'd seen them before and although I was excited, when that image first appeared on the screen... There are no words that can explain just how powerful an emotion I felt at that split second. Then the little bugger moved and I nearly went through the ceiling.

Weird but incredible. I highly recommend it lol

Same here :)

I'm a pretty down to earth kind of guy and I have a pretty good sense of putting things in perspective but this somehow got all sucked out. We all know the story of the egg and sperm and that a kiddo grows out of that, but having this growing inside of your partners body isn't that logic anymore all of a sudden. It's just a big miracle :D
