For me...most of BoC's albums are Spring and Summer albums. Hi Scores seems like a fall/winter EP to me.

Agreed, Basefree is immensely beautiful in my oppinion, gets me right in the gut.

If I may consider this to be the 'BOC track observations of the moment' topic:

Just now having another listen to 'Chinook' - maybe not the most approachable song at first, but nestled between the bass and abrasive percussion is a lovely rich, vintage-sounding analogue melody of the highest quality.

It is understated within the mix, but I think it is easier to appreciate because of it. Though to hear it as the lead in a shorter, percussion-less vignette piece would've been excellent.

Pretty close to that, it's a very powerful song. There is a particular moment I had listening to it at the very end of a beautiful twilight that will probably stick in my head forever.

I cannot be sure - similarly, what I think sounds like a snippet of child / baby speech (from the same section) could be a lower voice pitched-up, so you never can tell...

The whole ending of that track carries an ominous mood. I would sum it up in one word: 'delirious'.

I am kinda high right now, listening to you could feel the sky and thinking how incredibly amazing it was to add that creaking sound into the percussion. Genius.

Twoism makes my hair stand on end... But I am in LOVE with that feeling.

Pete Standing Alone is one of the most underrated BoC songs.

The child's voice samples within The Color of Fire are not THAT creepy, I find them rather nostalgic but the bass in that song can get to some menacing notes.

When I listen to Kid For Today, I feel like I am in a dream.

In The Annexe is quite literally the most beautiful song I have ever heard. EVER.

I always picture Ewoks running around on Endor when Forest Moon plays and when that synth kicks in, it is mind blowingly beautiful.

I feel that once I am getting near the end of Headphase, among the tracks Tears From The Compound Eye and Farewell Fire, I get indescribably sad, but at the same time I am hearing relief within the music itself, as if it is hurting me and then healing my wounds.(If that makes sense). Then Macquarie Ridge plays and I am overwhelmed with a feeling of happiness and willingless to move forward.

Diving Station on a surround sound with high quality and maxed out volume can be one of the most powerful experiences.

Oscar See Through Red Eye is the best song on Headphase. I don't care. It's flawless.

Olson's ending piano bits are emotionally entrancing and finish with such perfect execution. The song itself is in my opinion one of BoC's greatest songs when it comes to their breakthrough sound on Music Has The Right, but I guess that could also be said about the other trademark tracks of their breakthrough sound such as Aquarius, ROYGBIV, Telephasic Workshop and Turquoise Hexagon Sun.
