Oddly enough, there's only one song that's ever made me cry, that that's Elf Tower New Mexico by Coheed and Cambria.

I have no problem with anyone who likes/prefers the Cash version. I have a problem with the "I've never heard the original and I don't need too" attitude.

What do you say to the people who refuse to listen to the Johnny Cash version?

I mean I've heard and tried to get into NIN, trust me. My friends were into him big time for a bit so I had to kind of attempt to like him.

I haven't heard the original, but I'm not exactly in the position where I really want to either.

But I do like covers that differ from the original so I might still give it a check.

The Cash version is indeed a tearjerker. The NIN version is as well, just in a darker way.

What I don't like is people who are uneducated and don't know who wrote it first. I hear it a lot.

when people diss the Knife's Heartbeats and say that bore Jose Gonzales did it better, that annoys me.
The cover takes all that was good about the original and makes it so bland and boring.

I actually love the Jose Gonzalez version, it's 1 of my most listened to songs. And yes, I have heard the original but I prefer the Jose version.

I can understand why you think of it that way, I just love the vibe his version has. So nice and relaxing, yummmm.
