The only way I know how to resolve the clipping is to watch the volumes and to keep an eye on the little bar that lights up when each device is playing, if it is going up near the top into the red zone it's too high and you get clipping. It's a pain in the arse for sure, sorry but that's all I know about that really.

Also, just checked out the folder there and seen your edit of Lost Integrity's track man. Did you self contain the tune mate? Coz it's telling me I'm missing a whole bunch of sounds. I'll upload some stuff now shortly, don't have anything I would regard as properly finished but I will throw some stuff up into a folder in there for work in progress / ideas in the reason place, might be of use to someone, you never know!

Also guys, Sorry but I still cannot figure out how to upload stuff. I just checked there and in the dropbox folder on my computer, the Lost Integrity folder doesn't seem to be there. All the other folders are in there that appear on my dropbox profile, but this one does not. Anybody know why this is?

I've only recently learned how to (somewhat) master in Reason. I used to just have the mastering suite already set up, then just start making music, and tweak the mastering suite a bit, then be done. But I never realized how much that clip light really meant. I could never hear it in my speakers. Then, in my mom's car on the way to see my grandparents, I ran some mixes through the speakers, and I heard so much clipping. The speakers are apparently audiophile grade... So, I've been so cautious now, and mixing differently than I used to.

Uhh, there was one I messed with that when I opened it, it was asking for a bunch of sounds I didn't have. So, it was just a melody. But I messed it up, anyway. The melody I put atop the two synth tracks got deleted when I accidentally saved on the one that was in the Dropbox folder. Disregard it. The others, I added some drums and melodies to.

I'll say, whoever John is, you use Reason a completely different way than I do. It was somewhat difficult to navigate because you had all of these instruments I never use. I usually have Kong, NNXT, and some random synths here and there. I rarely ever use Thor and I never use Rex...

Yeah John is Lost Integrity, there his tracks that were up on the dropbox first. You just gotta click on the preferences anyway and check the boxes to make sure everything is contained within the song, it's a pain when you go to open stuff and alot is from some mad obscure refill. And yeah the clipping can be a pain too for sure, think you have it sounding grand then on different speakers its a mess lol.

I've never used Kong myself, I'm only at Reason a few months really, so still learning. I was using version 4 at the start and never atually messed about with any newer features really yet. Have you uploaded any tracks yourself yet? I'd be interested to see how you go about your tunes, was well impressed with that recent collab album of yours.

I just had a look there and I don't think I've got the hang of uploading stuff to there yet. I tried to put up a start of a little track this morning in that reason folder and a few rex vocal loops but I can't see em there now, but they are in the folders on the dropbox on my laptop. I will have a proper look tomorrow evening after work and hopefully sort it out.

Yeah definitely gotta self-contain the files. File->Song Self Contain->Check All

Also, I'm using Reason 5, but I imported the Reason 6 soundbank into Reason 5 (got some extra presets)

Thank you! I was honestly a bit confused when I saw a ton of Rex Loop players... The Kong is my home. Hahah.

havent had much time to actually work with the stuff thats been added but im really liking everything thats been submitted!

I've been using Reason for about a year now. It took some time to get the hang of it, but now I know Reason (at least the way I use it) like the back of my hand. I just recently got the MPC Renaissance, and the software is very difficult to navigate. I like using Reason more than I do my MPC to be honest.

I'll post one up sometime today. I have a few unfinished projects that I plan on pulling together for the next Bearhead LP.

Would love to see how you use it man, been trying to get the hang of using recycle and the rex to get sampling, I've only ever used it for vocals and ambience stuff, it's alot tougher trying to get good melodies or drums anyway, but getting the hang of it I guess. I've never used the Kong at all, wouldn't have a clue. I will get this thing set up today for sure, been mad busy all week, and throw up a few unfinished Reason tracks and a few samples. I thought I had stuff up there already as it's in the folder in my dropbox but it's not up in the proper one. I will look into it today. Would be cool to see this thing being used, I think it's a real good idea (being fairly new to this stuff myself, I'm really interested to learn) would be a pity if it just faded away again.

ok lads, still having issues with this dropbox haha. I have not got a clue how to get the files onto the Lost Integrity Dropbox. I've been googling away but no luck. I know it's got to be something real simple, I'm using a mac too if anyone has any suggestions at all?

So far I got some files in the corresponding folders in the Lost Integrity Dropbox folder on my laptop. And they are up on my dropbox profile in the lost integrity folder on my profile. However, I just can't seem to be able to get them synced up to John's shared dropbox. I'll keep at it anyway. Dunno why it's such a pain!

Trying to diagnose what the issue might be. I'm on Windows XP personally...

no worries man, I have tried everything I can think of. Do you guys add your files into the folder on your computer? I tried to click the option in the right hand corner of the lost integrity dropbox ("add to my dropbox"), then i have the lost integrity dropbox folder on my computer and up on my dropbox profile, I can add files then no problem. But still they just don't sync up with the folder you shared with us John. So basically I don't know how to get my files into the folders on the shared dropbox, and I don't see any otions to let me sync stuff up with those. Sorry to be a pain too lads, have no idea why this won't work for me.

Maybe I have to download the entire lost integrity dropbox? Instead of clicking "ad to my dropbox"? I don't really see this being correct, but whenever I ad the files they just sync up with the collaboration folder on my own dropbox profile, not that shared one.

ok so it was something wrong from the start, never got this option to accept the folder for some reason http://computriks.com/en/dropboxaccepts ... invitation I'd imagine that's the issue. Sent ya a email John, be great if you could resend the invite whenver you get a chance and hopefully it will go through correctly this time. Cheers!
