I love the "sound effects" that come in after the main voice section, once it picks up again. Just little swirly things that sounds like picking up coins in a mario game or something. Sounds kind of like stuff that's layered in on Campfire but I like it more in this cloudier (as opposed to sunny) context.

As soon as the track listing for TH was revealed, this song stuck out to me because of it's intriguing name. I wondered what meaning the brothers put behind this track. Now that it's been out a while and it's sunk in, I have got a feel for it. This song; it's title, bittersweet melody and melancholy atmosphere, makes me think of how we as humans are so insignificant. I mean really, the stresses, problems, hopes, dreams and projects we face, personally, or even more broadly as a society or as a race... Will they matter in a thousand years? Or a million years? A billion years? We are so insignificant when you look at the universe. It's incomprehensible size. Or the scale of time the universe is judged by. Nothing we do matters in the slightest in the big picture.

It's a bit of a depressing outlook, but that's the general feeling I get from this song. It's like the song wishes there was meaning and purpose to things, but is resigned to the idea that, for all intents and purposes, nothing is real.

I'm under the impression nothing is real as our universe and all contained in it is designed. And I haven't got a religious bone in my body.

One musical question here: I hear a subtle harmonic twist in the main melody. The synth riff synth seems to be a little detuned from the piano. Maybe there's the interval of a ninth. Am I right?

Is there anyone whith a good ear who could explain what's going on here in terms of harmony?

There's something else starting around 3:00, definitely sounds like another vocal sample but it might be reversed. Sounds a little like howling wind as the track fades. There's so much going on on top of it that it's hard to figure out. Hopefully more will come of it.

I think we will never know what's hidden in this song. Just think, is it even possible to clarify this part? Also at the end of Gemini we can hear a male voice saying few incomprehensible words.

hi, i just registered to tell you guys that upon listening to this tune next to the golden gate bridge, i've ascertained, without a doubt, that the sample says "Jesus was Unity". not sure if anyone figured this out, but im sure it'll be obvious when you listen again.

i decided to put tomorrows harvest on earlier today while driving around, and was pretty amazed by how much better the album matches the fall weather. listening to nothing is real into sundown and watching the passing autumn landscapes is pretty sureal. i feel as though i am enjoying this album a lot more with the cooler air and the change in the leaves.

+1, Had the same experience this morning on the way to work. Definitely a fall album.

i am noticing that i seem to like tomorrows harvest more, when i listen to it in my car or using speakers.


which is strange because i usually prefer music and notice more effects when i listen with headphones. but there is something about tomorrows harvest quality that seems to sound better distanced.


actually. the third time i listened to tomorrows harvest it was while listening to it on a really shitty tv speaker setup. i think the downgrade of sound somewhat added to the experience of the album. and that was the first time the album really clicked for me.

to this day i still think the album sounds much better in my car or using a stereo. ive listened to tomorrows harvest multiple times with headphones (as i do with most music), and i just couldnt feel the same effect. split your infinities and nothing is real sound way more amazing through speakers.
