Yes! If there's one track that sparked my interest some years ago, it was definitely Sunshine Recorder. Really stood out from the crowd... At the time it was so much closer to the sort of music I'd been looking for. I'd say it's the track I've most consistently ranked as a favourite.

For me it is one of the weaker tracks, I realise that is blasphemy. I don't feel like it takes me anywhere, though I do enjoy that lofi percussion sample and the vocoder. 5/10 for a BOC track.

Gotta agree 100% with you there. It's a good track, but it doesn't properly hit me like other tracks in the album, like Devil is in the Details or From One Source.

This tune fits very well onto R35TT, and as a matter of fact I had heard this song before Smallest Weird Number itself. In my opinion this track and its non-reversed counterpart are pretty much the same. Nice little tunes that I wouldn't ever skip.

Oh goodness Echus is top 5 BoC for me. (I always have a list of my top seven-forty-seven BoC songs that I carry around in a lunchbox)
Echus is special to me because I use it to fall asleep, and it sometimes gives me interesting dreams about places i've never been to. I don't think I can even rate this song properly because I feel like it isn't a track to be rated, but if I had a gun to my head I'd say its sixtyten/10

M9 feels very abstract with its acidy beat but its ambient background, which makes a very unusual combination. Still good though.

I don't think it goes anywhere, basically repeats itself, the heavy breathing and cheesy porn sound of the 80's is funny in itself but I think it overstays its welcome.

Basefree is such an emotional song. I hope for everyone else too. Coming out of Twoism - definitely a more personal album for Boards, probably in my top 3 albums. Initially, many many years ago, I passed this off after the first listen like anyone else due to the harsher tones we hear, mainly the drumline. Definitely a more obscure track upon first listen, but once I became a die-hard Boards fan this quickly became one of my top favorite tracks. 1:54, I think, is where it really gets heavy. I love at 3:13 when the beat stops and you get a clearer display of that gorgeous mangled voice sample that's heard throughout. By the time the lower synths come into play at 4:48 I'm already misty-eyed. Something about the baseline, it's so simple yet endlessly fascinating. I guess it's just the timbre I find intriguing. Extremely beautiful song. I rated this high because Twoism is one of the multiple reasons I adore Boards of Canada.

Skyliner - 8/10. Love the fluttering drum beats. Kind of a mix between their early stuff, and the sound that would come much later on Tomorrow's Harvest. Classic BOC fade out ending, too.

Intense. One of the main hints towards the wider narrative, particularly the metaphor that I believe was used throughout the album in the form of the different stages of a dive to the bottom of the ocean. If you read a lot of bocpages you might pick up on it. Little things here and there like the noise at the end of Devil is in the Details reminiscent of the imagined bubbling of an underwater volcano. Or the way they have processed certain sounds such as in Dawn Chorus which makes them sound like they are perhaps travelling through water. The weird, incredibly visual ripply effect in the transition between Julie and Candy and The Smallest Weird number.

Anyway I'm rambling.

I think every track has been covered by now. Um...

Prime Audio Soup Remix? Never could get into that one.

I don't know what that is number wise according to the "sides". It's always been digital for me.
