When mdg says 'at some point' I am often reminded of this story.
I was told a similar story in Sunday school, but mine involved a dove carrying a single grain of sand across the infinite void to Heaven and returning back again; bringing the whole Earth to paradise one grain of sand at a time.

Even though a website, nowadays, might not be that important anymore due to the existence of various social media channels, I still think Boards of Canada deserves a beautiful website.

I'm confident it will come eventually, like MDG told us.

You have often seen the sand on the seashore. How fine are its tiny grains! And how many of those tiny little grains go to make up the small handful which a child grasps in its play. Now imagine a mountain of that sand, a million miles high, reaching to the farthest heavens, and a million miles broad, extending to remotest space, and a million miles in thickness: and imagine such an enormous mass of countless particles of sand multiplied as often as there are leaves in the forest, drops of water in the mighty ocean, feathers on birds, scales on fish, hairs on animals, atoms in the vast expanse of the air: and imagine that at the end of every million years a little bird came to that mountain and carried away in its beak a tiny grain of sand…And if that mountain rose again after it had been all carried away and if the bird came again and carried it all away again grain by grain: and if it so rose and sank as many times as there are stars in the sky, atoms in the air, drops of water in the sea, leaves on the trees, feathers upon birds, scales upon fish, hairs upon animals, at the end of all those innumerable risings and sinkings of that immeasurably vast mountain not one single instant of eternity could be said to have ended; even then, at the end of such a period, after that eon of time the mere thought of which makes our very brain reel dizzily, eternity would have scarcely begun.

And boardsofcanada.com would probably still be redirecting to Bleep.

Man I wish they would've just kept the website the old way until they were actually ready. I die a little every time I reload it when I come home from work.

You think they are trying to teach their fans that a fast pace doesn't pay off?
All this waiting, but it isn't as difficult any more. As long as you know it will happen.

The key is to just not care about BoC as much as you do. Find other things to interest you. They obviously don't want fans as loyal as the ones they have, anyway, so just leave it for a bit and come back to them when they actually have an update. There are plenty of other things out there that deserve our attention.

That's like telling bird watchers to start looking for turtles. A boat can't decide the wave it rides, I dig being a crazy in love fan, I can't help it

I find it hard to believe that they would be so clueless that they don't know their fans would be going crazy over the slightest web site change. The fact that they're taking their time with this is a good indication that they don't give a shit and probably just want their followers to calm down about it.

Doubt they had a huge say in it frankly, especially given their ambivalence to the internet. Seems to me the website was little more than a link to the vinyl reissue on Bleep anyway. Linking to Bleep in the way it does now cuts away the reissue, which lets be honest had backfired somewhat anyway and has also had the added bonus of keeping us dorks slobbering over....probably nowt. Anyone recall 'that' black box?

How did the reissues backfire?

There were loads of faulty presses, I've read about people getting two new replacement records (not at the same time) which were faulty too.

Is this all resolved now? I was looking in to getting me some of the reissues on vynl. The copy of twoism I bought was in pretty pristine condition despite a little bit of dust and the disk being ever so slightly bent (not enough to even notice). I wouldn't want to misplace my money on a bad pressing of any of the others.

I can't see there being a new website. I think it will stay directed to bleep. There is no reason to believe there will be a new site other than mdg referencing it sometime ago. If they had a new site I'm pretty sure they would have just updated the oldsite when the new one was ready.

So for me that's it.

You can't log in and order things through the boardsofcanada.com bleep re-direct. I ordered a couple vinyl through bleep and before making my purchase I thought of doing it through the boards re-direct. I tried and was unable to make the order from that url. So the store function appears to be useless, which would most likely mean it's temporary. Which would then lead us to think that they would replace it with something else, whether that be a working store or a completely new site. My hopes and dreams rest on the latter.

At least that was my experience. Is anyone else able to login and order stuff through there?

BOC website is now redirecting to Bleep. The full url changes to the Bleep Boc page. The way they were doing before it was by iframe.

Maybe people from Warp are monitoring this thread?

I hope the website changes into a 24/7 webcam broadcast of the brothers'z bedroom.

....I think I'd prefer their studio....

lol.

Besides, would they sleep in the same bedroom Ren and Stimpy style? Where would their wives sleep? One big happy family on a huge custom bed?

......OK, I change my mind. I'd prefer their bedroom. I need answers, damnit!

Perhaps, but I'm sure lots of people have tried ordering through that iframe system unsuccessfully. Might just have been a coincidence that they fixed it shortly after my post.

But if they are monitoring this thread, then I can't risk not saying: "Sell us the damn 12+ disc BoCset of everything not already purchasable!"

Now we wait...
