My first experience listening to Bibio was on headphones, laying down on a picnic table behind a farm house on a summer day, with the sun flickering through the leaves of the adjacent woods.

If you're a bit underwhelmed, I recommend giving that a go. Seemed to work pretty well.

But really, nothing has triggered my senses like Vignetting the Compost. I grew up in Wales, and watching the videos he made were like watching parts of my childhood.

It was awesome for a kid. I want to go back there and listen to Bibio.

I've just moved permanently, for now... to a place called Freshwater east, in the south of the county.

Dinas Cross look beautiful. I would love to set up somewhere there and listen to tunes all day long.

Weirdly, I am just starting to discover artists like Bibio, CheJU, Mint, Mileu, Manual, Obfusc, etc. Midrange of popularity. I kinda skipped over them when I went from listening to Boards of Canada to listening to a lot of netlabel stuff. Anyone else the same?

The funny thing with this new Bibio is that I do like his style but can't play much in a row. When I play my music on shuffle and there is a Bibio track popping up every once in a while I do enjoy it. When playing Vignetting the Compost from begin till end it start to get on my nerves halfway the album. I didn't had that with Fi... anyone else got the same?

So, I'm not that psyched for a new Bibio unless he's using more variation in his sound.

His Warp EP is all over the place, in terms of genre. Some eclectic shit!

I thought Compost was fairly eclectic too. More so than his other albums, which has the same lo-fi, crackly sound running through.

i feel exactly the same way
i can listen to Fi from beginning to end no problem but with this one i tend to switch to something else half way
some really great gems on it though

i've found myself doing exactly the same thing. my current music playlist is mainly made up of belbury poly, bibio, the gentleman losers and library tapes. beautiful early spring music!

Travelling by train. Headphones on. Looking at the scenery flashing by. Listening to Bibio for two hours.. The best way to spend your days..
Vignetting is by far my favourite one done by Bibio. I'm simply addicted to it. Every song moves me on a very deep level. So much emotion. Whoa. The first time i heard it.. His singing voice matches the atmosphere in his music as well. I disagree with this album being less varied than the other two. I feel every song telling a different story.
And those music videos.. Stunning. TUTWL brings tears to my eyes every time i watch it.
Stephen is so incredibly talented.

One of the best albums of the year for sure!
This album is his greatest so far, IMO more varied, more mature.
The snips on his myspace, sound really diverse as well. That promises to be awesome!
