I totally love those general midi sounds. Maybe its an age thing? As mrMessiah pointed out he feels more towards an 80's sound, a sound I enjoy as well but is kind of starting to lose its itch. I've been toying around with general midi soundfonts myself, trying to get it as sonically interesting as I can. Those choppy arps oneotrix does as well (much better then I can I might add), are quite logical conclusions, which is both awesome and shit at the same time. The sounds serve quite a nostalgic purpose. Computer music emulating old computer music (cause thats what's happening lately) is a really interesting logical cultural development I enjoy to partake in (as a side project). It says allot about the time we are living in. I'm still waiting for the point where computer music emulates older computer music emulating even older music. ABLETONWAVE as a genre, anybody?

R Plus Seven is amazing!! Creating such cohesively tacky 90's sounds is hard enough - but creating something totally unique and emotionally moving out of them is mind blowing. Electronic music has become so inbred and it is super refreshing to me.

it's certianly not common to put images like this in your music video. I think "evils" of the internet is a bit overblown. it actually kinda surprised me that using this kind of stuff in a conceptual music video like this felt like a new concept.

I think it's more a comment on isolation. the directions the human mind can wander off into. the power of being anonymous. and what the internet has the ability to reflect back at you.

though there is one part that pushes a bit far for me. I never showed this video to my girlfriend. would have been hard to explain.

And yeah, I definitely get the isolation theme. The guy who directed it said he was trying to capture the spirit of obsessive desire, and I think for the most part he certainly did. Fetishes do indeed showcase peoples' more obsessive desires.

I think it's a pretty powerful video, a WEIRDLY powerful video. IMO this one might not just go away. If the right attention is paid, I think people are gonna remember this video.
