I was already planning to vote for neither Romney or Obama in the upcoming election, but if Obama does not veto the Cispa bill, I'm actually considering chalking him up there with Bush in terms of degrading this country's standard of living (although not the rest of the world as much as Bush).
Shit's sad. The candidates they want us to choose from in this upcoming election are staggeringly disappointing.

Yeah, that all depends on your perspective though. If you're a classic American, we could not be getting worse candidates (until the next one comes along). However, if you're a Globalist, things could not be more peachy! It's the job itself that has shifted. The ass in the seat doesn't make a bit of difference. It's evolution in action, baby!
Happy May Day / Beltane / Birthday of the Illuminati / Freedom Day / One year anniversary of supposedly killing Osama Bin Laden!

I'm just waiting for the whole thing to collapse, you know?
I mean, it's apparent at this point it isn't the presidential administration we have or who fills the senate/house, it's obviously the system we have in place if people continue to use it for corruption over and over and over again despite the best interest of everyone.
So I hope it falls and burns the ground and whatnot.

Not always, and not necessarily immediate, either.
Any collapse of a corrupt system is temporary, but it's pointless to look at that way considering the inevitability thing can be applied to our existence as well, and how one day the sun will explode and take this planet with it.
So we have to keep renewing to have reasonable existences. Could be now, could be when the country is a full on third world dictatorship.

It's new to me. Nobody told me about a "loyalty day".
Probably because the idea of being "loyal" to the US government as of recently is pretty retarded.

Last year, Obama declared May 1st to be Loyalty Day after 'killing Osama Bin Laden'. I kept on calling it Freedom Day by mistake.
One thing anybody who thinks deeper on stuff like this should take into consideration is how much esoteric stuff has occurred on this date in the past.
I agree with Waterbagel. Should the system collapse, one must be careful about what they replace it with. NEVER jump on board the general consensus or we'll all be in the exact same boat again. If someone is telling you they can lead you into a better world, NEVER LISTEN TO THEM! ONLY YOU CAN LEAD YOU INTO A BETTER WORLD! A major system collapse is one of the few times we have a chance to decentralize power!
Meet the new boss. Same as the old boss.

Bald eagles are predators. They have several adaptations that fit them for that role. It tears prey, but it uses its powerful, taloned feet to capture it, which they often do by swooping down and snatching them. They eat carrion willingly, and are notorious for robbing osprey of their catches. Eagles will wait on a favorite perch for an osprey to return to its nest with a fish in its talons for its own young, then harasses the smaller raptor until it is forced to drop its prey for the eagle to retrieve.
Bald eagles spend hours perched in trees overlooking water, their keen eyes alert for feeding opportunities. When not fishing, they sometimes steal food, pursue injured waterfowl, or settle in for roadkill or fish chopped up in turbines at dams
...quite fitting, really.

So, North Carolina just went through with their gay marriage ban.
It got voted in by 60 percent.
Seriously? This is disgustingly stupid. These shitheads with their nonsense, they seem to want to waste every last breath they have making sure that "marriage is sacred between a man and a women". It's all over the country and it's remarkable. I mean, it shows you just how low the average American really is how small a percentage of states have legalized gay marriage. The fact that with how fucked up the country is right now, people would rather spend time being concerned over bullshit that DOESN'T EFFECT THEM AT ALL is absurd.

Heh, yes that seems to be the logic many of them bear.
I appreciate Tosh's humor on the subject.

Yes, marriage is indeed sacred. Almost as sacred as divorce!

Tami Fitzgerald, the head of Vote for Marriage NC, said she had been confident that "the people of North Carolina would rise up and vote to keep the opposition from redefining traditional marriage.
"We are not anti-gay, we are pro-marriage," she said. "And the point -- the whole point -- is simply that you don't rewrite the nature of God's design for marriage based on the demands of a group of adults."
How the fuck do you say something like this? How is this allowed?! There is nothing going on in this argument beyond religious babbling and false propaganda regarding health benefits/domestic violence (HUH?) according to
CNN. This is extremely disheartening to me.
