Holy shit I've successfully dropped all of my caution and gone into full blown excitement. This is real.

The playlist that Warp dropped with the two random tracks now seem far more relevant and worth digging into on a greater scale in tandem with these tapes, in my opinion. Who knows, we may have to dissect the audio in some way.

Can't get it to byte in the SSTV software I typically use. I'm still betting on FSK; SSTV just sounds a little more distinct than that in my experience as a ham radio operator.

I've been in this forum for a loooong time (even longer than my join date as I was a lurker for a while before that). 2013 was so much fun, this update has me PUMPED.

Everyones waking up. The tumbleweeds have gone. We are back again. Just a waiting game now, two people two tapes, how many tapes who knows? Just got to wait for more to pop up now, lets hope none got lost in transit!

ive been messing around with black cat sstv for a bit and i cant get anything meaningful, is there any software for decoding fsk signals?

I think I saw some talk about it here or the reddit but I wonder if anything from these are relevant to the tape or like a "map" to read the vhs tape. Unsure since it seems a bit on the nose.

I do firmly believe these two tracks and that image play some sort of part in this now, too coincidental with the timing for it not to be. Whether we have to overlay the audio with the VHS audio, analyse the frequency, whatever... it plays a part somehow

The folks over at keyosc are a step ahead of us with spectrogram analyzing... credit to embers over there for this, seems to be what he got when he analyzed the tape audio:
