Yeah, like this is either perfectly planned by the dude to maybe get money off the record or its actually some guy finding that he had this record in his collection, then decided to pull it out this week lol
OR it could be some crazy leadup to the new album but that's just me thinking crazy

It sounds like what I think it would have sounded like. The punch of those drums, even through the shithawk quality has me guessing.

Noatak sounds nothing like the actual live song we've all heard. This sounds fake af.

I've said it before, popped up on the 25th Anniversary of MHTRTC, it is pre-planned and the videos to me are likely pre-recorded.
Cause and effect, the lad knows what he's doing driving us cahraazy.

The proof of that track being Noatak is limited at best, though I have speculated myself:
(this is my post)
The more I listen to the vocal sample in ATP Track 7, it sounds less and less like Noatak. The possibilities of that track being Noatak are no greater than this new one.

What about the voices that clearly say "No attack/Noatak" in the live song?

I don't think you can call them "clear".
This video might help

I hope someone gets in contact with them. Maybe shepherd them through the process of preserving the record in higher quality. They should at least be made well aware of what they have if it’s a legitimate one-known.

I'm no longer skeptical. James has the first known copy of Hooper Bay in the wild. The loud vinyl crackle, I don't think this is a new pressing at all. Sounds just like it's been in a box for 30 years. I like that he recorded this on a camcorder. Keeps it from being too high quality where the band would send him a takedown notice.
ATP track 7 was never confirmed as Noatak.

Well, BoC are not really known to name titles after words that appear in their music. For example, in ‘From One Source All Things Depend’, one of the children says “rule the world”, which is where they nabbed the title for ‘Rue The Whirl’, despite that sample not appearing anywhere in that song. It’s likely that the title of Noatak originally came from the same sample found in the live song, which was actually recorded closer to Geogaddi.

Exactly! My Granddad is better with an iPhone than I am, and I'm 17. Age is no excuse for a shoddy recording.

Hello people. I have just been on a town walk with the video audio on. Debating authenticity, I feel the sounds, I like the samples and loops. It's a record minimal on hearing and layered with unease. I do think this is Boards-ian and I like it. Though, I'm not mad about it. But it kept me interested and in good company.
Good music comes with remembering not to overthink, learn from lessons of the past and continue talking. Tread carefully as this could very well be official. (and this discovery is probably a lot more important to you than it is to me.)
This is one of those times. Slow this bird down.

If this is a beginning for some alternative reality game preparing people for a new album, it could be fun
