I was in MACY'S and heard Peacock Tail. I was like wtf.

I was watching a documentary on the the Science Channel today, called "Search for Second Earth" about studying planets in other solar systems and looking for ones with similar conditions as Earth. Anyway, it had a clip of Dayvan Cowboy in it. That's the first time I've actually heard BoC outside of Adult Swim. Oh yeah, I don't know if anyone else has already pointed this out somewhere, but in that new Penn and Teller show, "Penn and Teller: Fool Us", in the second episode I believe, there was a contestant that used BoC for his entrance music (also Dayvan Cowboy I think).

Their music seems to be popular as "beds" for various documentaries. One that stuck in my head was "Corsair" used in a BBC documentary on (IIRC) abuse of children in local authority care.

Heard two Geogaddi tracks in the middle of a black metal documentary called Until The Light Takes Us.

It was kind of fitting because it's a sinister album but it does that without having to be heavy. The rest of the music the program used was mostly Burzum and Mayhem.

Also, the only time I've ever head/seen BoC music/related info publicly outside from my cousin who also likes them was back around 2006, there's a rock station where I live called KD/KB, played Dayvan Cowboy at least once.

Only time I ever heard BoC somewhere I think it was last summer while watching a weird architecture documentary, wasn't paying much attention since it was about 6.00 am and I was half-asleep but suddenly, Corsair. Now that time I really freaked out.

It isn't very surprising to hear BoC in public places and in documentaries when you realize that BoC, just like Radiohead, has actually become very widely known and popular (just look at their last.fm/Facebook page stats) and they exist just below the surface of mainstream, as opposed to popular conception about these bands.

I think Radiohead is pretty mainstream though. Not crazy all day radio/TV play mainstream, but most people have heard Radiohead's songs at one point or another.

You are totally on point with that, Rodeh. And I think 'Creep' is a prime example of what you're talking about. I remember when Radiohead was thought to be a "one hit wonder" due to the massive popularity/mainstream success of that song. Pretty much everyone knows of Radiohead because of it.
