Idea: Could BoC be transmitting the album on a radio frequency in and around Scotland?
If I lived there I'd be fiddling with every station.

I decided to become active again because I have an odd feeling that news of the new album will be dropping very soon- and that the wait will not be much longer.

Hope my feelings are right!

There are so many bands that are done after three albums, and still lives on in the heart of many people. Why don't you just all imagine, for one or two years, that the band is over, and just enjoy what they've already given?

That said... Lyst... I hope that your hope about your feelings is right. :D

I think they are required by their contract with Warp to release at least two more albums.

The photo guy, Peter Iain Campbell(?) said they're working on multiple projects, I think MDG just made a bit of a miscalculation with the "2010" news and the release(s) will drop fairly soon. When new stuff comes out, it'll be an explosion of awesomeness I'm sure, and the updates we've had so far, no matter how many months ago we got them, wouldn't have been given to us for nothing.

:D

Hey IDK if anyone has already made this connection, but the profile that dropped the vid of Julie and Candy from ATP was named "Atalanta Fugiens", and Atalanta Fugiens is a book by Michael Maier. It's suppose to be on alchemy. Just thought i'd drop that here. :D

doesn't there come a point when we just have to conclude that there won't be a new album? I mean for all we know, they could have changed their moniker already, released several albums under it, and created a new fanbase that they can ignore and not appreciate. don't get me twisted here: I truly love their music and I have bought all their CD's, forked over way too much money for a BOC vinyl collection, and bought their T-Shirts through official channels. I have supported them. but by the same token, shouldn't they give a little back to the people who made them as successful as they are? an update on their official website with a link to their Bleep page so I can buy another copy of Trans-Canada? no, that's not good enough. sorry, that's just lazy.

yea, yea, yea. they don't owe me, you or anyone anything. but is it too much to ask for a simple answer to a simple question: is a new record coming or not? yes or no. why can they update their official sites with links to shit that we already know about, but not make a simple post on their Facebook page that says Yes or No. just a simple one word post would put all this speculation to rest.

Boards of Canada, we have gave you our time, our money and our hearts. now give us something. tell us, is the new album coming out or not?

Usually the minute you think it's all over is when things finally get released! Go figure! I can wait as long as it takes....I'm grateful for what they've released and if they need time for their own personal lives, well, fellow Boccers know that the wait will be worth it...no sense in listening to some half-assed release.
I remember when TCH came out....I was listening to a lot of Porcupine Tree and became obsessed with them, and then "oh! holy shit, another BoC release! Awesome!"....I used to not read the upcoming info too frequently as I was busy with interest in other bands and then they sprung the album!
I can be honest when I say that after waiting for BoC releases too long I thought there was no hope to try and find other bands because "they might not amount to BoC" or whatever I thought and that's no real solution....so I tried to look for new bands that could give that rush again and there's so much out there that's just brilliant and headspinningly awesome. Then the famous Duo will drop their next album...and who knows....it'll probably be FUCKING LEGENDARY and/or groundbreaking...with that prospect, time isn't even an issue for me.

I agree man, give us just a little bit of info! They could be taking care of 24 children and feeding them hexagon shaped sandwiches every day yet still have time to just give a little update. We're their fans! We shouldn't even have to say "DO THEY REALLY OWE US ANYTHING!?!?!?".

We love their music! It's not like we're a bunch of annoying chucklefucks bothering them or something.

Just let us know what's going on!

Patience

1.the quality of being patient, as the bearing of provocation, annoyance, misfortune, or pain, without complaint, loss of temper, irritation, or the like.

2.an ability or willingness to suppress restlessness or annoyance when confronted with delay: to have patience with a slow learner.

3.quiet, steady perseverance; even-tempered care; diligence: to work with patience.

but seriously, go and climb a mountain in the meantime.
