If this is the IRCAM listening event they held a few weeks prior to release, I recall seeing posts on here with the invite having been leaked out accidentally and then the French Warp person having to tell everyone on Twitter that it was invite only. And then a lot of French fans going "ZUT ALORS!" and so on.

It would be nice if somebody on here could write up an entire story for this album, with each track having its own story. I can't seem to get the full "movie" imagined in my head.

Problem is it's different for everyone, and vagueness is kind of key. As The BOC boys have said recently its up to the listener to create their own narrative. They've given us some wonderful tools and materials, but its up to us what we make of it!

Got my record and t-shirt in the mail today. I'm psyched, because I only received a notification from Bleep that my shirt had shipped, so I wasn't expecting to get the album at the same time.

I'm in the same camp. I was depressed after my first listen and didn't like it. Left it for a couple of days as I was so depressed after all that buildup. But around my 4th or 5th time round I realized I have to stop expecting it to be like MHTRTC and Geogaddi and just be what it is. I'm digging it now. It has its place in their discog.

I still don't like Jacquard Causeway at all though, I skip it just before the beat comes in.

Yes, you've got it right, same thing for me. Stop thinking or comparing it to their other music and let it be it's own unique thing!

The arrangement of tracks grouped on the vinyl is starting to feel like this, to me anyway:
Intro+Act I, Act II, III, Epilogue+Close

The first and fourth sections seem easier to figure out than the middle. Maybe just because the resolution of the story and imagery are tighter at the ends where it "wraps".

Agreed. When I heard RFTD for the first time I wasn't particularly impressed. In fact, Radio6 Music played it so much I got sick of it and didn't have much hope for the album.

So, first listen through of the album - meh. Where are all the cool drops?!

But after another listen through, it started to sink in and I soon realised what a masterpiece this is. The whole album works beautifully as a single piece and RFTD is one of my favourite tracks now due to the context. In fact, it's opened my eyes a bit and I'm looking at their previous stuff in a different light, with TCH going up in my opinion due to it having it's own (much lighter) theme running through its veins.

Premature, but I can't wait to hear what the theme/nature of the next album will be like, as I can't even imagine how it can be as different as MHTRTC, Geogaddi, TCH and TH are from each other.... but I bet it will be and it's exciting to wonder how.

Oh, and I also agree that JC does my tats in.

The beat's the best for me. The rest is just dull imho. Kinda wibbles on to nowhere. I'm sure in a different context I might have enjoyed it more, but not here.

Just played Th on vinyl and it sounded HORRIBLE. I probably have the worst turntable ever. Stanton T.52 and it requires a proper ground and I don't have one on my mixer and because of this it really messes with the sound quality. Anyone out there that can suggest a good turntable and that doesn't require me to ground it?

well, it pouring down rain all day here today. so after work, i decided to listen to Tomorrow's Harvest for the first time.



i just got done listening to the album for the first time.

and my initial impression is its sounds alot like geogaddi part 2.




i thoroughly enjoyed the music, every track is superb. the album is very slow, but you can tell that its only going to grow on our minds over time.


jaquard causeway absolutely blew my mind on first listen. absolutely amazing.
