One thing I'm gonna remember of this, is a comment on the og reddit post.

Because hypothetically let's say one of these days a REAL cd of REAL rare BoC comes along and in a similar scenario to this one, a guy claims to have it and is willing to share it's chunes......

I'm fed up of BoC fans acting like this. You people on reddit are up your own backsides either way, whether doubtful of the post, thinking it may be fake, or greedily speaking in a "GIMME GIMME GIMME" tone, I understand you are excited, but have some decorum for fuck sake, you might just scare away a real person who is actually there on the other side of your computer screen.

Agreed, There are countless BoC hoaxes that were made, such as the thrift shop vhs, the hooper bay hoax, the Duffy upload, peater, throwaway_mccp, etc. So people immediately go skeptical.

The problem that you’re describing not only affects the BoC community, but the lost media community as a whole, since the lost media community was built around these holy grails.

And if you have any real CDs of rare BoC material that you want to show to the public, make sure you have all the material/proof that you have posted online as soon as you make your discovery public. As if you don’t, people will be quick to say that it’s fake.

Disgustingly obvious fakery afoot.

Makes you wonder how many tapes/CDs they gave out to friends, and how impressive it is that none of these people are releasing them.

Simple, the pre Twoism EPs were only given to CHILDHOOD friends and family, The only exception was the old tunes and maybe r35tt. Hence the leaking of those albums only.

And for the resurfaced Twoism 1995 LPs, those were either from the labels that BoC sent them the LPs, or those childhood friends felt more comfortable selling them.

Yeah, I wonder how many childhood friends they gave them to. It’s probably trashed or in bad condition. I doubt anyone has a good copy anymore.

I will never understand the appeal of making hoaxes, but I guess people just get off on disappointing others.

Doubt it, i have some worn out cassettes and they sound just fine.

If they ever decide to release the old stuff, they should first partner up with various music critics and have them all write totally bogus and inconsistent reviews of said albums; gaslight the entire fanbase into thinking they're out there, then just arbitrarily dump onto the web for free digital download with no fanfare.

This day so far: A hoax happened, Found out that the old tunes leaked in 1999-2001, and this (this doesn’t have anything to do with BoC)

What a day.

(Also I don’t think I’d look good with a tail, and normal chairs would be a pain in the ass)
