So, 3 more weeks till they are being shipped. Kinda bummed about it, but then I at least get proper quality ones, and I have been waiting for over a month now anyway. Let's be patient once more.

I didn't order all mine from Bleep, so I didn't get the email. Is the "3 weeks" quote just for Trans Canada and Campfire Headphase, or are they fixing others as well?

Yeah, I just got that email as well, but after getting TCH the way it was I can wait a few more weeks. Speaking of which, I haven't had the time to actually contact bleep about my copy. The last disk has a sizable scuff (not a scratch like the ones I saw from the thread), so providing evidence isn't the issue, more so wondering about the timeline to get a suitable replacement.

I may be relatively new to vinyl, but I can without a doubt say TCH was probably one of the more horrible sounding records I had ever played quality wise. I would even say my POS Pink Floyd records scratched to hell sounded better (not kidding in the slightest about this).

@bodaciouspie, can't use the reply function since I'm on my phone, but I believe this is for every single one of them, at least the albums. I ordered the album digipack, and I got the email of Bleep saying it would take about 3 more weeks for them to manufacture and start shipping.

are they correcting just TCH or TCH and Trans Canada or Twoism? or both eps?

So, I only bought Music Has the Right to Children on vinyl in the first instance, so I've mostly been oblivious to this whole thing of problems in the quality of the pressings. But have people universally had problems with certain albums (TCH from the sound of it?) while others are okay? Which ones have been found to be the best quality? Or have people had problems with all of them to some degree?

I ask in case I get round to buying the others at some point, I wouldn't want to be disappointed. For what it's worth I think my pressing of MHTRTC sounds great, but then again I've only listened to it once so far (I think I have to accept that I'm one of these people who likes 'owning' records rather than actually playing them... I normally end up just going back to digital out of ease of use)

The TCH's and I think Twoism are the ones that are affected. The reason is because these three were manufactured at one certain plant ("The Vinyl Factory" in... France, was it?), while the others (unaffected) were manufactured elsewhere.

The other three seem to have no issues aside from random shipping damage which is happenstance and pretty unavoidable.

Got my copy of ABOINC this morning, very nice sounding and package with stickers, overall great repress

Can someone that has a damaged "Trans Canada Highway" pressing tell me what the problem with it is? I listened to "Under the Coke Sign" and found a ton of static, but felt silly when I compared it to the digital version and it just seems to be part of the recording. I haven't done a close listen of there rest of it, but Warp told me it's being re-repressed, so there's gotta be an issue with it. Just want to make sure I don't have a bad copy and haven't realized it yet.

Wow. I had no idea there were all these issues with the vinyl. That means I have to open them all and check them out? Ugh. I had bought them to hold on to them for a long while to give my oldest boy a new record collection when he's older. What the hell!

It's actually really bad to keep new records in shrink wrap anyway, so it's probably best to take them out just to check.

At this point I'm pretty sure that all pressed records are affected, the difference it's in the listener/player.

And the Odd Nosdam remix has cracks and pops all the way through it. In addition to this the quieter moments in the tracks sound very dirty.

Finally received my copy of Trans Canada... sounds pretty good thankfully!

Oh, you didn't hear? The copies they made.. They weren't represses at all. They just found some old first pressings strewn about in that heap of Pat Benatar b-sides and copies of the soundtrack from Saturday Night Fever.
