I have a feeling it might just be mainly what this implies? Archive recordings but curated? We might hear M&M talking about their music Argh most likely not though, perhaps they have curated a bunch of music they like into a mix

Well whatever it ends up being, I'm leaving a comment here to be a part of this hypetrain's history I don't expect anything too insane, any new recordings or material would be a treat.

I'm expecting the Societas X Tape will be a mix of their favourite 70s hippie Laurel Canyon type stuff like in their Dazed & Confused Campfire mixtape list.

My money is on old remastered recordings. Maybe some tracks we already know, sounds we already heard, but not in their full high quality glory. Like Seven Forty Seven when it was released on Warp20: we already knew the main sample but we got the full track.

Perhaps Societas is referring to when the band consisted of more than just two members.

It's not misinformed as it's from a Warp or NTS press release but they had already mentioned BoC as the top item in the press release

Pretty sure I was wrong about warped faces etc in the background image, just very underslept and having pattern recognition issues as a result of the picture quality. It happens often.

I think the pun is in the "rock" as in either music or stone.
