any tips on how to handle electric guitar in electronic music?
I don't really play my guitar too much anymore, but I find it best to just jam for fun on the guitar for awhile, then go back and sample out little snippets, and build melodies around that. But that goes for all instruments I guess, but guitar is soo good and lovely.
Guitar can be so much fun, as long as you don't take it to seriously. Something everyone seems to miss, and then they end up calling themselves a guitarist and it's all down hill from there (trust me I should know ;]).

i like what you said shadowshocker. i am drunk but i think you are correct. the guitar is just a collection of amazing sounds. any attempt to make it anything besides that is doomed to lameness.

You bet, I think they disappear after a while.

Its actually changed a little bit since posting it originally, but feedback would be excellent!

Really lovely synth man...very airy quality to it. Overall, seems like you've laid down a great foundation. My ear did have trouble following the measures at first though...I'd recommend putting a nice solid snare (or some treble-y hit) on each upbeat, to keep it ticking steadily along.
Let me know when you come up with the final track...would love to hear it!

Thanks Evan, I was super excited about this track - just can't seem to get anything going with it yet.
I've been too wrapped up in other things to find that focus I once had, but something new has come to me, something I've been waiting for.
This means my approach is changing dramatically.. I've started a new 'project' if you want to even call it that, its simply what I am up to these days, and let me tell you - it feels amazing.
Feel free to check out one track I've finished, called
Resinosa.
I've chosen the name
Meadowhawk
