Something just doesn't add for me with all this, the location as cool as it is just seems too impractical for anything anyone has suggested here. I really hope I'm wrong though and have no doubt, if I was in CA I'd be driving out there too. I hope something amazing happens out there for all you lucky bastards, drive safe and enjoy the ride.

One thing re: the image for the location.
Some people say it's only because it is somewhat related to yermo and used as such.
However the exif GPS data points RIGHT at the parking lot, and there's no such exif data in google maps images, so it was placed there deliberately and purposefully.

Bless all of you for having such enthusiasm and excitement that you'd drive all the way out there.
But there is a 0% chance it's a live performance. And a slim chance it's a new video. It's possible, but highly unlikely. Why would they say "Tokyo" when millions of people were in walking distance of the screen, but not overtly give a location here when it's hours from anything? It's surely something online, and it surely has to do with the song debuted at the Movement Festival last night.
There's what's possible, and there's what's extremely unlikely. A big event at Yermo with zero promotion and zero infrastructure is both of these. Sorry... I'd be fucking excited too if it was something but.....

Can I just ask since I've missed most of this thread and don't want to trawl back through everything.
So BoC's Facebook and/or Twitter posted this date and time and the reason people are driving out to this location is because it's the place in the Adult Swim bumper/RFTD video, it's in California and the BoC post specifically mentions US Pacific time?
Just want to clarify that that's what's happened so far or if there's another hint that's pointed people to this location.

The @boctransmission Twitter account posted a link to this image giving the date and time of the event and a satellite photo of the location:
The EXIF data of the image has GPS latitude and longtitude information which directly align with the parking lot of the abandoned Lake Dolores Waterpark. The official hellinterface YouTube account has now posted an old TV commercial for the very same waterpark:
That pretty much confirms that something big is going down at Lake Dolores tonight! Whoop whoop!

Classic commercial. I remember when Lake D was like this in the 70s. This commercial pre-dates the ruins that are there now. Those slides and swings were very dangerous compared to modern water parks and would never fly today.

This Hell Interface video just confirmed that I don't understand anything anymore. The hunt for codes was already mind-blowing, now it seems like they've prepared much more than I originally thought.
