NEUROMUTE...no need to apologize!
You are the most frustrated of us with this story! I imagine the disappointment after the exciting discovery in this store. Anyway, thanks for sharing & uploading it so quickly!

Being a new member here, I feel it was a sort of induction to twoism, to be present for a lost album fake. And even though I was at odds with neuromute, believing him to be the perpetrator rather than one of the fooled, I'm happy he did it. I haven't been that excited for leaked material since my teen days on mars volta forums in the mid '00s, and as I said, feel that much more part of twoism for that.

Awesome fake!
Now that everything has settled down, I'd like to apologize for being an ass to you. Though I didn't fake the tapes, unfortunately for us at Twoism, CV1 was a fake. Nonetheless, one day, we will find the real thing!
Well said. And we can coexist with two different beliefs of what transpired today, based on our love of those two wonderful scotsmen.

Not suggesting this closes leak thing is real obviously but has anyone thought of the reasons why certain early ep's have not been leaked? Maybe some of the tracks are actually duplicates from other places like the 35 random track tape. We all know that BoC have a history of putting the same track or versions of the same track on different releases with different names. Maybe they thought that it's more beneficial to their mystique to have these holy grails still hidden away as the actual reality would be disappointing.

R35TT is a big mash of stuff from those early releases, we just don't know the names of the songs. Whoever made the tape did it that way on purpose.

I bet sometimes the boys wish they'd never bothered listing them on the old Music70 website at all. Yes initially it added weight to them as artists, to have some history, but its become like JFK or the Illuminati with all its fakery, disinformation, and red-herrings!!
Still I suppose it doesn't do any harm when it comes to hooking fans and shifting units.....

Exactly! We may already have all these old releases anyway but not confirming anything makes us all keener for the thought of more unheard tracks to dream of.

Damn, I turn my back for five minutes and the party starts!

As a Florida native, I would have debunked this as soon as I heard it was found in Jupiter. Unless there's a strong 65-90 BoC demogaphic that I'm not aware of.

Plot twist: Mike and Marcus live in FL and plant tapes in random locations to drive everyone against each other, in order to bring about Armageddon.

It was kicking around on soulseek years ago. not as part of the whole album. it was just in a separate folder with some other bits and pieces and also this other track ..

I've always thought these to be legit.

These 2 tracks (focus and close3) like i said were floating around on soulseek years ago.
The only other related track was godever which was also in the same folder.
(this was way before R35TT was revealed and godever was on there as track A14).
I can't remember what else was in the folder but none of it was related to Closes.

What no one cares that re-phaelam-ed actually knows the guy who created that track so infamously used as a fake stand in for Focus On the Spiral? I think that's pretty cool! Strange but interesting track, it was obvious from the start it wasn't anything by BoC - apart from anything else, the use of goat samples sounded like nothing Boards have done ever. But it's pretty funny, if not slightly disconcerting.
