Wanted to check this out, but they won't broadcast to me. I gave them the postal code to the House of Commons and everything was cool. I hope I'm not breaking too many rules.

I am reasonably sure that I heard Beware The Friendly Stranger playing softly during this morning's breakfast at the Best Western Plus Tree House Motor Inn in Mount Shasta, CA.

Not completely on topic, but yesterday I was touching myself inappropriately watching a gay porn video and the background voices sounded familiar to the people talking in Turquoise Hexagon Sun, so it was hard for me to concentrate on what I was actually trying to do and kept thinking how akward it would be to discover that video was the source for that sample. In fact after the act I played the video again just to be sure, but alas, it was not sampled from there. Thought I share.

How does one touch oneself inappropriately whilst watching a gay porn video? Were you touching your retinas? I don't understand.

Not recent, but my parents had Emmerdale on once (it's a British soap-opera for those outside the UK!) and suddenly i heard 'Dayvan Cowboy'. Obviously i was kind of miffed as the scene didn't fit the music that was playing, at least play it when someone's being driven off in a coffin!

I finally have a real one.

Here...
http://www.groundzeromedia.org/

On his radio show, he makes little audio collages that he plays when coming back from commercial break. The one he just played featured Beware the Friendly Stranger!

Fun show! This guy was the voice of Toxie in the fourth Toxic Avenger movie!

my high school has a tv news broadcast style thing for announcements instead of using the intercom all boringly, and they have intros and stuff that use a bunch of different songs. so last year they started the year off using dayvan cowboy but back then i hadnt started listening to them yet so i never noticed until may when i tried them out with trans canada highway.

it sucks tho because they havent played it again this year yet, even though it would be pretty awesome if they did but whatever

In a hospital. Play Geogaddi while you're there. It really changes your perception of the whole place.

If you care for their cashflow, post the track name, where you heard it and if possible the time and date so our Scottish chums (if they log in) can check with the royalties company they use.

.....does it work like that? :?

Playing parts of MHTRTC for my 11yr old daughter and 11yr nephew and their comments; "this is brain washing music" and "they were on drugs when they made this!". Mixed feelings on this but I know I've opened a door in their minds, their first doses of the surreal.
