Playing Connect 4 and saying to each other "Wasn't there something else we're meant to be doing?".

There will be something this year most likely. I knew a Warp employee from eBay from who I bought the MHTRTC Japanese promo cassette a few months ago. I asked him about new BoC, he initially wouldn't say anything about it but as a hint he then reminded me about the fact that Warp celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. That would be a very logical move in my eyes.

interesting fact, guido! i had never thought of that. maybe we'll see something in the vein of orange romeda, concidering how long its been now from TCHP and TCH, to see how their style has developed.

What I said is 100% true, whatever it may mean I'm not sure of.. But there are more hints pointing in the direction of new material, I refer to mdg's posts for example..

I'm hoping for something in the vein of Skyliner or even XYZ. T'would be awsome though I'm sure I'd be happy with whatever they release. I wonder if they've already started working on their own solo projects, didn't they hint at plans to do that in one of the interviews?

As a press writer for another board and having worked with artists mostly in underground circuits, I can guarantee you that artists who are professional and sensitive about their image DO read boards or at least have someone else in charge of relaying the info, seeking and scouring, sort of like fan mail. Can't expect them to come here and answer every thread though...

Provided that the said artist's work is benefiting from some sort of notoriety, it's in the artist's utmost interest, or more like they have no choice BUT to read boards, read reviews, rants, mail, watch fan made videos, etc etc just to be "on top of things" and keep their image in check. Too many pressures involved in this biz, once you're in the public eye and the ripple effect is spreading you'll get scrutinized and harassed on a daily basis and if you don't filter chatter it might just come back to bite you in the butt  Anywho, this board is a tremendous source of info and shingdings and if I were BOC, this would be the very first place I'd check for either favorable or unfavorable info.

Anyhow, just talking from personal experience. If slanderous info was going around, or if I for instance started posting as them on this board, I bet they wouldn't sit idly by, they'd make their presence felt... So far, as respectable and respected artists, the veneer of mystery is actually a good thing for BOC. But with the anticipation of "what's next?" comes mounting pressure and as an artist you have to factor in exceeding ppl's expectations, brand your product, hype, marketability, sales, pay bills, pay your crew's bills, all that good stuff...

... and so we wait for that juicy tenderloin platter, drooling at the table. Bet that steak's gonna be good.. mmm... where's that damn waiter anyway?? :P
