I keep getting attacked by spiders lately. Well not attacked, they just keep landing on me or they'll be dangling on thread and they get blown in my face. It's so weird. I'm not scared of spiders, I kind of like them actually, but I don't really want them in my grill like this.

My wife found a tarantula in my apartment a couple of weeks ago. That was an extremely fun experience for the two of us.

Is it cool if we can get a "How are you?" thread going? We can just have discussions about what's happening in our lives. I'd like to talk about what's been going on but I feel it shouldn't just be confined to the "random" thread. :?

What did you do with it? I'm kinda fond of spiders (the non-venomous varieties). My grandma once almost shot one with a shotgun once because she was really freaked and didn't know what to do.

this is the problem with fucking "skinny, makeup-smothered girls are beautiful" culture.

this makes me so sad. i mean, of course it's important to be somewhat physically attracted to a partner, but they don't have to look like fucking megan fox or a porn star in order to do that. in fact, i'm grossed out by women who look like, as someone one said, starving iraqi kids.

what really matters is what's inside.

Black Moth Super Rainbow just shared this. Made me chuckle for a few minutes. Very tongue in cheek of them.

Thing about attraction is that different people are attracted to different things. There's no objectivity to it, like, a lot of the time, I don't really think about what my 'type' is: I just tend to know if I like how someone looks (and then personality and general characteristics can add or subtract from that).

Well, given that she's absolutely terrified of spiders and I was working night shifts at the time, she actually just slept at my office. Tarantulas are nocturnal and we have two cats, so we left the cats in the room where the spider was and found it dead (via attacking feline) in the morning. Then I kept it in a jar as a display piece until it started to shrivel.

I don't know. Nobody's given me hell about my signature thus far for whatever reason, despite being visually disorienting. I blame the skin.

I blame that dwarf in my book club who always steals my opinions.
