How cool is this photo. Never have two women made so much noise between them!

Imagine Bilinda is over 50, could well be in her early 30s or less.

I got glasses. I never realized how much of the world I wasn't seeing.

^ ha! I was the same when I got my glasses for the 1st time - it was a revelation; I didn't know you were *meant* to see that well. I got them on a winter's evening, so it was dark outside - walking down Northumberland St in Newcastle with all the shop's neon lighting was sensory overload.

I just passed up hanging out with my mom for the first time in a while so I could talk to my therapist ASAP about helping a friend with a problem she's had for years.

I've worn glasses all my life. I love them, actually. I'm not quite "blind as a bat" without them, but they certainly are a great help.

On another subject, though:

Being without a laptop for almost a month has been a nice experience. I have been reading more, thinking more, reconnecting with my surroundings. Someone gave me an old D630 a few days ago - it has worked well and was easily configured with my Linux distribution of choice - but I’m finding that I’m using it much less than my old machine. Instead, I’m spending more time reading, walking, thinking, talking, and just generally “being" without the help of a screen. Life is wonderful.

I found these paintings on the street today. They're really big.

This is pretty enjoyable on all sorts of levels - how to give a speech, how to write a speech, the wisdom contained within -

yeah I've had reading glasses for years and I'm so lazy about wearing them even though all I do in my spare time is like, read and draw tiny intricate stuff, then I put them on and I'm like "holy shit!"

Probably moving to London in October. Excited!

Now I need to find a job, any London based Twoismers know anywhere with vacancies?
