Nope. Mine's just fine.
Obvious question - you've checked your needle for fluff right?
Lost count how many times I've been convinced a record is knackered only to find half a sock hanging off my stylus

yeah - with the original represses I was sure it was my stylus until I saw other people had issues with their records too..
other than 'Dayvan Cowboy' the record is fine

Ah man, that sucks. Hope they sort it out properly for you

mine just arrived, all of it.
some points:
1. Campfire Headphase is lighter vinyl - flexi disc! - in plain white sleeve
2. TCH ep is lighter vinyl - flex disc! - in plain white inner sleeve
3. Twoism - odd, this one comes sealed in its actual sleeve, stickers included - lighter vinyl? not sure, havent opened yet
but since the first 2 up there came without sleeves, isn't it strange this one did? is it old stock they sent me? i'll be playing them both today to check.
4. Corsair side of Geogaddi - same weight, 140gm, not lighter, just same as repress Geogaddi weight.
Playing today to check difference, but the flexi vinyl was a let down for me personally, they're like test pressings

that's bizarre. My Trans-Canada was lighter, but not massively and certainly not a flexi.

Yeah, to call them flexi discs is a little bit of an exaggeration - they're more in line with a regular non-premium weight record, but they're still obviously lighter than the 140g records I originally received and that are still advertised on the Bleep website. I'm also still waiting on the three EPs ordered last year during the pre-order period (also a Geogaddi side E). No doubt I'll be receiving the lighter Trans-Canada Highway as well. It seems like The Vinyl Factory are pulling a fast one as they are the ones that are bearing the cost for the represses due to the manufacturing faults first time around.
I'm not sure what to do about the whole thing really, it's all such a monumental fuck up. I feel bad to be the guy that keeps on complaining, whatever my consumer rights.

I suspect we'll all have a choice - accept the lighter vinyl or take a refund. It's sneaky that they've swapped for lighter vinyl, at least without bothering to mention anything, but if that's the only way they could replace them all without breaking the bank I don't really see what other option they had?
So, refund or accept?
Personally, as the only other option is to shell out on the still-expensive 2nd hand market (and let's remember, we've all probably been stung with 'VG+ / NM' vinyl that's not fit for purpose), I'm cutting my loses and taking it. My copy sounds fine to me.

With replacements I got, I don't think they were that necessary for me, 3rd disc of Geogaddi is slightly better on distortion on Corsair, but overall original reissue somehow sound better (dunno, maybe it's just me) and TCH repl. is also same in sound quality, the static on 4 side is gone, but lighter vinyls for sure.

I won't accept a lighter one. I've bought a 140g proper pressing, not two bad ones and a lighter one.

I received geogaddi in full packaging and tch in white sleeves but no EPs yet. I now have 3 geogaddi. crazy.

Man, if there was one body of superfan nitpickers not to fuck around with in terms of the details it would be the BoCers. Warp should have known what they were getting themselves into reissuing these and checked/rechecked the initial product before shipping!
If I were still in the record collecting game I'd be sourcing out the originals without a doubt (other than the TCH EP where the original white pressing sounded shit).

The issue here is that this is no ordinary flaw, in a hundred LPs i've never got nothing as bad as TCH.

Still no sign of the Vinyl, contacted Bleep and they told me to wait a bit longer, even though the order had ''Sent to warehouse'' as status in my Bleep account, they said it was on it's way to me.
Let's wait a little bit longer then.

yes i know 'flex disc' was an exaggeration, was just making the point. from 180gm geogaddi down to 140 for repress - we could live with yet the artwork was reprinted very dark and just not as fine, im a designer for print for 20 years, i notice where cheap skating is happening.
now,. from 140gm cock up down to 120gm??? after the crap they've already messed up? they're still riding us/
no thanks. Vinyl Factory should be sacked. I paid for 140gm, it needed to be replaced, they suceeded in sound but again we have another problem.
idiots.

I can already imagine this is costing Warp quite a lot of money and getting us re-re pressings on their own dime, out of respect for them I am sticking with what I got.
As for the re-re pressings I got them today, TCHighway came in a full new sleeve with the sticker and download card. TCHheadphase came in regular sleeves however they sound MUCH cleaner and crisp playing them back to back with the old ones, of course there is the standard warm static that comes with any vinyl, but I am definitely satisfied.
As for the lowering below 140 - gram, to be honest the weight of a record has nothing to do with quality, even my best sounding LP's are usually the lighter ones such as my classic Hendrix pressings, Tull, Floyd, and Ponty over the heavier 180/140 gram LP's, so I don't have much of an issue with it.

is anyone having split shipments? The regular LP replacements came but not the EP's. I'm wondering if this is an oversight. Because the last thing I need is two more copies of various albums. I just want one good one of each.

well then whats the point in 140gm and even 180gm if theyre not 'as good' sounding as 120gm?
last longer? what is it? is it just a marketing ploy?

yes exactly they are more durable and will retain a good sound for longer.

In my opinion it's a gimmick to attract audiophiles most of the time. But like I said the lightweight 1970's records I have still have better sound quality than some of my 180gs, so if the 180gs holds a better sound quality for longer I don't hear the difference. In my opinion it all comes down to the mastering and pressing, best being analog recordings. The only logical reason I would buy a heavier weight is that is would have less of a tendency to warp if stored improperly.

I certainly tend to agree I'd rather have a great pressing on quality vinyl/wax at 120g than vinyl of a lesser quality at 180 which is what I think we are seeing maybe due to pricing of oil and lack of QA
