I'm sorry to say its not. I wish I were that cool. Its simply my yet to be realized once imagined band name. But hot damn, I just looked up current 93 and they seem pretty cool.

Current 93 is my all-time favorite band. It gets very interesting (and regardless of how many C93 releases you listen to, you haven't listened to them all). It's even more apocalyptic than BoC.

Now that I've finally heard the thing three times (really, one proper listen as two were via cassette with people talking over it), I'd like to say that you guys are in for a treat.

When I first heard it, I'd thought that I'd finally heard the One on Twoism so distant enough away from the Boards-like style that it was founded around and that made me giddy. I will now say that it is still anchored within this sound (as I expected) and while that is not a bad thing, it keeps it from being what I would consider a stronger compilation (and it's STRONG, like at least two other OOT volumes of which I hold closely). Aesthetics is clearly a relentless perfectionist and truly, his mixing shows itself masterfully here and almost makes itself the element of the record that shines the brightest. I'm not sure I agree with what constitutes the best flow to him, but how he chose to segue tracks into one another brings out new sounding bits that I would have never imagined. Prior to any sort of release I heard a good chunk (about a third of it) of the tracks that would end up making it on here just through interaction with those I have collaborated and formed friendships with here as well as their mutual friends and it surprises me in many ways how the material that at one point seemed so different was formed into the final product.

While I can't be sure yet, Mexi may just in fact be on to something when he's assured us that this is the strongest volume to date. Props to everyone on it.

Extra props to Sccye and all the others on this volume who I have had the pleasure of working/being friends with. Stay gold dudes.

(speaking of which, the Sccye/Bearhead bit makes this record - no spoilers intended, but god....you'll see)

Be THERE! Try to be at the stream party. I'm giving a bunch of people the heads up about it.

Thanks rodheh! Your words mean a lot to me as this has been a struggle for me to get it finished. Even at the point that I couldn't enjoy it anymore. Now that all has been set and reading your compliments I feel the music again as it was intended. In the end all the frustration memories will be replaced by the comments and enjoyment of others.

1 day to go!~!! :D

I will hopefully make it tomorrow, after a friend's birthday. I am broke so will probably stay until they hit a club (not that I like clubs anyway!)

I'll close this topic for now so all feedback will be concentrated in the release topic.
