I like to make note of any phrases like that that come to mind. Putting them together in a list almost feels like a form of industrial-esque poetry in itself. The ones you listed sound very psychedelic, like something with jazz or funk influence.

I'm sure many people on this forum have wondered what something could sound like just based on a track list

Went on a lonesome day out up the coast to Scarborough this morning. While there, I stumbled upon a couple of round audio delights (albums), including the new Spiritualized® disc and Jefferson Airplane's Crown of Creation.

So with that being said, I'll be delving into those finds for the remainder of the day.

Is it incredibly cheeky to recap previous events on a topic about the near future?

Went for a walk and talk yesterday with two pals, the group was originally twice that size but split up once I appeared, don't ask.
So from the meeting point at the edge of town, myself, Lilia and a new lad (new to me) called Daniel trundled through towards the high street and eventually through to Pier road. An approximate 15 minute walk from the centre to the sea front.

They told me how on a thundery, rainy morning they played a Dungeons and Dragons. I had no experience with fantasy board games so I couldn't make any connections in that conversation.
Now at the very end of the pier (which was deserted, whistling, windy and grey.) Collectedly as three, we decided to turn around and head back. Eventually ending up on the smaller beach across the way.
Probably an hour 1/2 had passed before waving cheerio to these two.
Some bizarre discussions included...

• Guinness Book of Records (that man who mutilated his face to look like an Area 51 grey alien, the grisly guy cut off his ears.)

• The Black Death and other mass disease pandemics

• Dave Lamb (presenter of Horrible History: Gory Games and Come Dine With Me. A fitting tangent from death to dining. )

• That mother-flipping Tory leadership debate. (learned that neither Sunak or Truss are in Lilia's good books. )

• Some other earth-dwellers my own age who I haven't met. (Yet)

Some great interaction, haven't talked to Lilia for a good while, although yesterday I learned of her dog called "Merlin"
Side note: Daniel knew most of the references I made, shocked me because I thought my banter was as equally strange as it was niche.

On the whole, a spirit lifter. This is not something which happens very often to me.

PS: the gang had just come out of someone's home so they were looking fresh and all kinds of nice. It'd just chucked it down though and I must've seemed to them a wet-haired pigsty.

I practiced guitar for the first time in like 10 years. Tried to learn Denny Dias solo in "Bodhisattva" by the Dan. My fingers hurt but it feels really good to have done something productive rather than just playing video games all day!

Dug out a Mathmos Lava projector earlier and it still works, I've got quite a small living space so the liquid light show can only be so cosmic.

With the lights out and the very best of Grateful Dead, Hawkwind and Jean-Michel Jarre, it's shaping up to be an hallucinogenic evening.

I have a doctor's appointment today, I woke up a little later than usual this morning so not as much sun today. I haven't had the energy to get myself to even go outside. I should before the sun goes down though, it's one of the first 'pretty' days here in a while.
We're gonna have some Chicken Tortilla Soup for dinner tonight, I am super excited because I fucking love soup.
I'm gonna try and make it to the gym tonight. I try to go every other day (or at the very least three days a week) but I've been struggling to get myself out of my room and doing something other than staring at a computer screen for x hours.
Since Thanksgiving is on Thursday, I've gotta make Blackberry Pie tomorrow for both my in-laws and my family. Fun but making the crust is tedious. I made a 'guniea pig' pie for a potluck last Sunday but several Amish women whooped my ass in the homemade-pies department.
