My concern isn't about the tapes getting destroyed, it makes no difference to me. I was more interested about the reason they were pulled from sale. The whole thing is strange, and then this:

If it's genuinely from the guy in vine video with Mike P, it's strange.
this made me think while we were standing there in the desert and were asked politely to please not record the whole show - so soon to the official release, that so much hard work went into ... initially this discussion was one to one. of course, as we all know they later announced it to everyone there.
while i have already made a few bold statements here, i feel there wont be another 5 years of waiting. what he said above could be a veiled (albeit strange) and potentially serious indication of things to come.

the tapes...in the video. they are CG. you can see the artifact from the green screen studio they are in.
and the two guys are stop motion claymation characters. look closley at his t-shirt. you can see the stop motion jitter.
the real tapes have been encased on carbonite and securely stored in the same vault as the the lost ark indiana jones recovered.

Maybe Mike was attempting to cash in on the tapes because he had knowledge that the old tunes were soon to be properly released and this would de-value them. This back-fired on Mike because the potential buyer also knew and smashed them up in front of him...?

Ah, thought as much. I knew there was something not quite right with that video. Glad you could confirm this for me.

I was thinking what if BoC or Warp contacted Mike and asked him not to sell these tapes and we'll do a remix, or a track or two for Planet Mu? It wouldn't be the first time BoC have appeared on Planet Mu while still being signed to Warp, and that would be "mutually beneficial to everyone".
its an odd one indeed, no point in thinking about it, no more than thinking about boc's next move.
we have a new album, i can now make more time for going out for fresh air etc and if and when it comes then great.
i'm exhausted, not just the last 2 months but other issues in my life.
its a hard album to listen to because of hard times in my life right now. it helps a bit, theres some
positivity coming through on certain tracks, yet some of it makes me deeply sad and doesnt help
the mood.
great album though, glad they gave us something different.
