Ok, thanks for clearing that up. The double alias is confusing.GH wrote:ross adey is Ciaran Byrne/ Adeyhawke, and Keith runs Psychonavigation Records.

Well it was more to make sure he got what I was saying. YouTube comments are notoriously bad for conveying the the intent or context of the written word. I've had people try to respond to things I've said over the years in languages I didn't even know existed.Seriously wrote:zeoevil wrote:
actually this is EXTREMELY interesting. Whatever it is, I love it already.

after looking into it, this guy has uploaded a fake closes, fake acid memories, and fake play by numbers. The chances of this being another fake are 99%.
Got me excited for a few minutes. The ambiance is pretty good, but I am doubting it is BoC.
(BTW I like how you (zeoevil) started arguing with him in spanish so that he'd understand. I laughed at that.)
The alternating current hum at the very beginning is at 60 hz. This wasn't made in the UK unless the recording is sped up.zeoevil wrote:Does anybody have any idea what this is? He says it is Catalog 3 but yeah. We know how that usually goes.
The fakes posted here by gem.atrium that provoked this thread, I think. At least I can't see any evidence they've done more than what's been posted here.DaveJ wrote:Anybody know anything about 'Gem Atrium" by any chance? Just seen a few people commenting on BoC's Facebook about their music, saying it was similar to Boards of Canada also. Just curious as the name was mentioned a few times on their page but I can't find a thing online.
I didn't see any links to these Gem Atrium tracks on this thread man.Would have liked to have given them a listen after seeing the comments on Facebook.MrMessiah wrote:The fakes posted here by gem.atrium that provoked this thread, I think. Mediafire link is dead now though

Yeah, they were originally in a zip file called something like BOC2013_W_LLC.zip and "gem atrium" just dropped them into the general thread. I think he deleted the mediafire link when no-one here fell for it being real leaked BoC.DaveJ wrote:cool man thanks a lot. Cheers man, I was just curios after seeing the name popping up on BoC's Facebook a few times. Downloaded it there, it's nice stuff. No need to be trying to pass it off as BoC, dunno why people do that.MrMessiah wrote:Yeah, they were originally in a zip file called something like BOC2013_W_LLC.zip and "gem atrium" just dropped them into the general thread. If a BoC fake can be this good, I'd really like to hear what BoC can actually do. They better release some old stuff along with a new album.Closing_Logo wrote:The alternating current hum at the very beginning is at 60 hz. I didnt intentionally set out to make a boc sounding track , but it kinda veered off in its own direction once i made the wavering strings. I may be mistaken , but it sounds along the same lines to merolypablo wrote:Keep them coming. I heard a fake years ago and it was excellent, no way of tracking it donw but I'll know it when I hear it so hopefully someone can post it here...
