I think the guy is saying "the inspector's been questioning me again about Gary". I didn't see it listed on bocpages; is this in everyone's copy? It's only about 8 seconds long
I have it too.
It's on the the cassette remaster someone on here did too- I think it's just the end of "heysanna hosanna".

Yeah that little bit is the end of Heysanna Hosanna on my tape. It's similar to the end of Kaini Industries, in that it's a short end bit that sounds different to an already short track.

I've had that labeled as "unnamed 'bridge' track" on the first separation of tracks from the leak back in 2004 me thinks. I never knew what to make of it. Doesn't really matter I suppose.

Heysanna Hosanna in general sounds like one of those really early tracks that they made by pointing a tape recorder at various audio sources. It's not too hard to believe that they just snagged something off the telly for the ending.

I want to know who's being questioned again about Gary.

Sounds like a sample from Taggart to me.

What's the track length of the one without pub conversation? And does it sound like A-Z or with cut off?
It's 8:04 and it just has John Peel saying: "And this elapses the last from Boards of Canada for tonight. This is called 'XYZ'." then the song plays through until the end.

I can upload it if you want/need.

"And this alas is the last from Boards of Canada for tonight"

Back in the day John Peel had a second radio show on the BBC World Service it was only 30 minutes in length, and so he would pack into it as many alternative pieces of music as he could as well as a choice of the many session tracks recorded for his full show. I always thought the short version of XYZ could have been from one of these short radio shows, as he would have to do shorter introductions for things, and this is short and to the point unlike his normal show where he had free rein ( correct spelling) to chat about whatever he wanted to. A lot of these world services programmes are up on You Tube with very varied tracklists. Too many to look through. :)
