Although the article implies that the bill actually exist I can't wrap my head around it. Does anyone know if there were parties canceled due to this bill?
It passed, but the aim was outdoor raves rather than people and they ended up needing a license and being properly evented, policed things or they could come and shut them down, seize gear etc. The scene it was set up to police was kind of tailing off by 94 anyway though, and the newspapers moved on to worrying about something else.

Edit: and yeah, I know some parties did get busted, but also some fell through because they couldn't bear the cost of organising and doing everything they were supposed to do to be legal. I remember hitchhiking to one and being turned away at the gate :)

I remember falling asleep with ep7 playing in my headphones. At that point had not really enjoyed or figured the ep out yet. So I randomly woke up midway through Zeiss Contarex and, no joke, Suddenly "understood" what Ae was all about and was hooked. I understand that everyone has their own taste and that's to be respected, but coming from someone that initially viewed Autechre as Unapproachable noise and chaos, to completely in love with almost every song, I hold out hope for those who dislike them. I do also believe that It is easier for a BoC fan to catch on to Ae, due to the way BoC opens the listeners mind to a new emotional viewpoint towards music.

Yes it's very impressive. This isn't just Sean and Rob receiving a word doc of specially chosen forum questions to answer, they are on the forum for hours literally answering every question. Very down-to-Earth fellows!

Makes one wonder if Boards would ever step up to the plate like this...
I make music as Sweguno.

Thought about that as well. An actual AMA like that would probably be a huge mess...crash the whole internet or something like that.

Nah, Boards only do interviews when they've got a new record to flog.

It's a great read. Just decent geezers really! not sure why their decision to do a Q&A is used to have a pop at BoC but there you go, different peoples different ways of communication.
