They really changed the way that I see music. Boc taught me to appreciate that smallest sounds you hear that nobody else listens to in music, and somehow made me enjoy nature more than I did before listening to them, and as a budding musician, helped me find an emotional quality in music I couldn't find before. I heard countless times they make people feel nostalgic, but it doesn't for me. I'm only 17, so I figure when I get older the music will have a bigger impact

Well, I'm 16 now, but I love BoC since I was 12. Aquarius, Music Is Math, Chromakey Dreamcoat and Basefree marked me so much, back there. Gosh, I'm still so glad I discovered them. Barely got into them, and *BAM*; just wanted all their rarities! Kiteracer 2 first, and Roygbiv following. Don't remember of my first full album listening at all... Maybe it was Music Has The Right! ♥

I'm 16 now but properly got into them at the beginning of last year. First heard them when i was about 12 through my cousin playing Happy Cycling.

As some of you who follow me on FB will know, my daughter (just coming up to 2 years old) was gleefully dancing around our kitchen to Happy Cycling a week or so ago. Her face was a picture when the change kicked in near the end - gave a genuine yelp of delight and grinned like it was Christmas

When Boo (Elfie) was born i made a playlist of all the calming tracks...she listened to that each night for a year...now (shes 2 1/2) she falls asleep to Buckie high within 2 mins and dances like a dervish to Hi Scores...she also loves Tycho...and Sepultura lol.

i don't have kids but i have babysat quite a few over the years and there was a 1 year old that i would let wear my headphones occasionally. he loved to hear melissa juice. the smiles are priceless. can't wait to have a little mini-me to mold with good music.

i was 11 when i first heard boards of canada but didn't become a real fan until probably 14 or 15

This topic makes me really happy. I first discovered BoC when I was 16 or 17, which for me was 2002/2003. I'm 27 now, but really these days I just feel like a ten-year-old who's been ten for 17 years.

Similar to Nicole. 14 when I first heard 'em by name, 15 and 16 when I started to get into them.

Though on the contrary, while I don't feel my age I actually feel ten years older than I do now. Life takes its toll, heh.
