If I were you remove the records from the shrink wrap asap, it has the potential to warp (excuse the pun) your sleeves, then over time, the records themselves. Get some good quality LP covers to protect your records properly Jus lookin out for a brother!

I bought these and they are very good. Generous size too, can easily accommodate 3LP sleeves like Geogaddi.

For real? Thought it'd be all good in the shrinkwrap. (people were going nuts over still-sealed copies of Geogaddi on ebay 6 months ago weren't they?)

Yeah it has something to do with the pressure of the wrapping and the internal temperature rise it can cause. I've read on many record collectors sites that they use LP sleeves instead of keeping it in shrink wrap. Some people did however keep theirs in, but there is sufficient evidence to suggest it causes damage to your records. Besides, most of the people going nuts over shrink wrapped records are probably collectors who wont actually play the record itself. At least if you buy LP sleeves you have the option to keep it mint and be able to play the record itself/look at the artwork.

Wow, I'm shocked! Mine came yesterday, which is a day after their official release (and probably, technically, on the North American release date)! My TH came almost 2 weeks after release date, lol.

Too bad my wife won't let me have these until Christmas...

After reading this, I finally decide to get that job I wanted. I don't know what'll come first, me releasing my album, or working at a restauraunt. Either way, I'll then get me those vinyls, and a mighty fine record player. If only they released these in cassette, I know nothing about vinyl. I don't get half the stuff that you guys are conversing about, like the Magic Window incedent.

my original copy of in a beautiful place vinyl is junk. clicky poppy....there was even a chunk of an unmelted bit in the record. that track is unplayable. BUT i got the in a beautiful white label...on thick ass 180g...super flat, super clean. so that makes up for it i guess.

but ya some of the presses are pretty crappy

I hear alot about how the original blue vinyl on that is horrible -- my copy is amazing. Perfect after many plays.

My old CFH was a big mess. Best press ever was the original Peel Sessions in my experience.

Just my two cents

I usually just slit the side of the shrinkwrap (with a craft knife) down the edge of the LP sleeve where you pull the vinyl out and keep the the sleeve retained within the shrinkwrap. Not had any issues with warping doing this over the last 20 years. If it's a gatefold though, you don't get to see whats inside of course, but it's a good way of keeping the sleeves in good condition without buying loads of extra LP poly sleeves.

Ended up buying Geogaddi from another online retailer after my fiasco with Bleep. It is on its way to me, and I am beyond stoked. Glad to hear there are no issues with it like this TCH weirdness
