Apparently it's because BOC Maxima was sent to Skam as a demo, and then someone there leaked it...

I am almost 100% confident that before we all die, we WILL hear the unreleased albums... BoC are only gonna get bigger, and as awareness of the older albums builds so will the pressure... Something has got to give eventually.

really? wow. i thought they sent twoism in as a demo, then they went on to do hi scores for them.

Boc Maxima was more likely the demo that SKAM got since so many of the tracks reappear on both Hi Scores and MHTRTC.

I wanted to bump this thread because the speculation in some other threads got me thinking about this tape. It is a fascinating listen! It seems to have birthed Hi Scores, it is kind of a proto-MHTRTC, among other things. That is a pretty cool thing!

It's also something of a missing link between the bootleg tapes and the officially released catalog. If their catalog numbers are truly any indication, BoC produced this and a number of other tapes, for whatever reason, that we have never even heard. If the numbers are not random, they could have produced four other releases between this and Hooper Bay. Thinking about that fascinates me.

With all that considered, and knowing that their various output does not exist in some vacuum, there must be a connection between the tapes and the unreleased albums. What could it be?

Sometimes I find myself overtaken with thoughts about their catalog, even after all these years. It is funny to think about how much we still do not know for certain.
