I feel it is more likely than not, the year is still young as it is only octmarchpril so my fingers are crossed.
Maybe they will write a song about this new fidget spinner fad.

I've been waiting impatiently for years for two things: BoC activity either in the form of new music or a performance and the release of the long-awaited next Cormac McCarthy novel. I figured 2018 would see both, but at least 2019 is delivering one half of my wishes. Although, I'm not ruling out BoC and Cormac McCarthy collaborating this year.

(Yes, I'm kidding about a BoC/Cormac McCarthy collaboration. (Even though that would be rad)).

2018 ironically was the year that nothing happened for BOC after two years of semi-activity. But they returned back to semi-activity with Societas. At least with all these semi-activities they do, they're still saying "we're still in the game, don't count us out yet."

Though to be honest, I have a good feeling Boards will only break up when Mike and Marcus stop being brothers. They had many chances before, but I feel that Boards is like a fun family activity for them. Their last family activity? Create the ideal post apocalpytic soundtrack from their childhood.

I don't think you can count societas as activity when it comes to their musical output. It's warps thing and Boards being important to warp and vice versa they were bound to contribute regardless of whether they have had no activity for years or just released something. Lets remember it's not their music (on the whole).
Their next release will come when it does regardless of warps birthday.

I just meant that "Boards of Canada" as an entity did something in 2019 and they released a mix-tape. It wasn't their music but they still let us know that Boards as a brand exists
