Beginning and ending are illusions. It all just is... or isn't... goddammit. That's the same thing.
Gonna go lay down for a while.

Sure thing. And thanks

Sorry about that! Back to conspiracy theories about how BOC predicted the end.
For some reason, I get a feeling they're going to release an album after this whole scare is over. Unless of course, they got sick themselves. Probably not since they supposedly live in a bunker smack in the middle of the highlands and have been preparing for this since 2013 (Ok now I'm just being facetious)

The world cannot end, the era of mankind can however
From the perspective of the One Source from which all things depend (a.k.a. consciousness) all opposites are one and thus there is no beginning nor end, or the Alpha and Omega.
For that reason I wouldn't worry too much, or not at all actually. Everything is fine and will always be okay no matter the external circumstances that appear in the vast spaciousness of life.
Cheers!

As things progress, I'm still amazed at how right they were. Insidious political events followed by a crash.
All from 2013.
I really wish I liked Tomorrow's Harvest (sorry guys) because then I would have considered this a brilliant goodbye to the musical world on the level of Bowie's Blackstar.
Instead, I hope that when this is over, maybe we can get some new BOC music to help us rebuild. I know that if they released something new when this ended, I would be so happy.

Insidious political events have been a thing since human society has been a thing. Nothing new there.
Iraq said 19 people died YEARS ago. Therefore, THEY are prophets... yeah, that will do.

Yes, I agree. I think I'm just going crazy being cooped up and hearing this crazy shit. Last night I had a dream about the corona virus and not only was my whole uptown blocked off, but the buildings were gone and replaced with forest.
Was a terrifying dream but a very TH dream too. Society was ending and starting over. The new seeds had sprouted.

It should have been....
For me, I am glad they did not produce an album that was only super uplifting. They already did that twice. It is nice to have some contrast. I guess it probably reflects if people relate to the darker side/more melancholy side that they often times go back to. They have always had this “sad” feel to their music without being too much either one way. Maybe some people just don’t think that way or even relate to those sets of emotions. I do however. Very much so and am very happy to have had the privilege to own and hear such a magnificent album as TH. Mr. Mistake is my post TH anthem from them. That song feels really relevant now..

Just saying, but maybe it's better to minimize watching/following the media. I guess it's tough if you are used to it, but it might have a beneficial effect on your mental wellbeing. Take care!

Terrifying dream. At least in your dream the earth survived... I also had a dream like that but in mine the pathogen was more of a virus/fungus hybrid thing that would kill but was a lot like “The Happening”. I remember clearly in it hearing on the radio that the military went down from it as well as congress and the WH.... thimgs got pretty bleak... and my family perished in that dream too... unfortunately I had that before Covid-19 was a thing so this is really haunting to me and surreal ha o.O

Actually staying informed has helped me afterward. Especially when you consider the fact that a lot less people have died from this than regular flu. I think facing facts and understanding this isn't the bubonic plague has done a lot for me.
Sorry for playing up the whole Tomorrow's Harvest theatrics. Like I said earlier in the thread, Mike and Marcus seemed to be going through the motions during that phase and I feel that they were being melodramatic. It's interesting because BOC wanted to remove themselves from the persona of crazy cultists and conspiracy believers but by the time of TH, they doubled back and acted like we were all fucked as a human race and wanted nothing to do with us after they promoted their album. Their behavior in the TH interviews are the polar opposite of the idealistic young men who once wrote Aquarius, Roygbiv and Open The Light and apparently they can no longer see the good in the world. This is why I am so emotionally distant from Tomorrow's Harvest as an album. I relate more to the BOC of the first three albums than the bitter old men of TH. I think the dawn of the Coronavirus is honestly the first time I really considered the message of TH an actual plausibility rather than mere theatrics.
That said, I absolutely respect people who love TH like Soul Slip and wish I could share the same enthusiasm! That's a terrifying dream btw, Soul Slip. Makes mine look like a walk in the park. No one died in mine, it was just nature replacing structured society. It was more symbolic than anything.

The bros are safely ensconced in their new studio/compound located in Antarctica. It's totally impenetrable, so don't even bother trying to snoop around.
Also, the signs posted make it plain they aren't kidding:
This place is a message... and part of a system of messages... pay attention to it!
Sending this message was important to us. We considered ourselves to be a powerful culture.
This place is not a place of honor... no highly esteemed deed is commemorated here... nothing valued is here.
What is here was dangerous and repulsive to us. This message is a warning about danger.
The danger is in a particular location... it increases towards a center... the center of danger is here... of a particular size and shape, and below us.
The danger is still present, in your time, as it was in ours.
The danger is to the body, and it can kill.
The form of the danger is an emanation of energy.
The danger is unleashed only if you substantially disturb this place physically. This place is best shunned and left uninhabited.

When I was a kid, I was reading a tale about a "dunno on the moon". This is basically a satire about capitalism to the kids. These kids fly to the moon, there the find other kids who a living inside the moon. And to the contrast of happy green earth, Where everything is free, you got that cold adult world. Where everything have a price of money. And one scene inparticular struck me to this day. They find this amusement park, where all fun and this. But they actually find the dark secret behind this park. In order for some folks to ride this carousel, other folks beneath the ground should pull this levers in order for this to work. In other words, where for some is amusement, others is a huge pain. I feel this to this day. Maybe it is time for a change.

Nothing is Real is really poignant now. "Promising eternal life, when you know it wasn't right."
