The BoC pages stunt was out of order, If he knew it wasn't BoC related then he shouldn't have involved BoC in his promotion. He should have known better. I've never known a band to involve another band in a promotion who wasn't involved in the production. Some people will do anything in the name of greed.

I am thankful to Odd and Anticon for all they've given me. Both from BOC remixes and their own works.

I just wish he told Fredd it wasn't related to BOC. It would have helped people who were on the fence about if this surprise EP was related to the band or not.

Either way, I bought myself the EP and I will enjoy it. The 45' art is really cool and so is the music!

I couldn't care less about Odd's release personally but my point was that it would be nice if BoC fans would let him have credit for his own work. That was before I knew he posted on bocpages so... you could discount my post if you want in that regard but it still stands as a general point about not assuming the world revolves around BoC etc etc and so on.

Now people are getting pissy about his release not being BoC related? hmmm, that's a big strong. He might have thought BoC fans would be interested because of the link but I guess that's bit him in the bum now.

Who is getting pissy that the release wasn't BoC related? It's reasonable to assume that some folk will be disappointed that after Odd reposting the Boc pages story it turned out to not have anything to do with Boc at all.

You're making it out as if it is the fault of BoC fans for getting excited about nothing when really it's Odds fault for blatantly insinuating that with his story

Secondly. Odd and the label reposted speculation posts by bocpages on their Instagram stories which is definitely adding fuel to the fire. Obviously people were getting their hopes up. If I had known Odd’s release had nothing to do with BoC I wouldn’t have created speculation posts about it. Since the dawn of bocpages in 2005 I never promoted other people’s work. I like bocpages to stay niche. Only BoC related content. That’s not such a difficult concept, right?

I kinda feel Odd and the label leveraged my account to promote their release. Oh well. Thank god it’s a good EP at least.

Don't expected that track would have voices, but it sounds even better, i love it.

You were getting a pissy a few posts up saying it "was out of order" so that was the post I was referring to. No beef, just pointing out that maybe that's a big strong an emotion towards something that would have been done with good intention, I imagine.
Anyway, I have no narrative, not sure what you mean by that. Why would anyone have the ego of their own narrative on a forum where nothing happens. We're all just waiting for something that may or may not come and no idea when if it does.
As for high horse, i'll admit to thinking that some of you are mad as a cake in the rain sometimes, but I understand. So I guess I do get on my high horse sometimes because I don't subscribe to some of the outlandish links some of you make. Colour me a what you want, i'll be fine with whatever.

How unlikely is it that "Here To Know" (the second track) contains some hidden message about BoC? Assuming nobody has heard it since it's not out yet

My reaction was literally "oh well" and I bought the dope 45. I've been meaning to get into Odd anyway because Anticon as a whole is endorsed many times by my favorite artist and I've slept on them for a while

I only feel bad for Fredd who wasn't happy about promoting something that isn't BOC related on his BOC IG. That's my only grievance because Fredd is a really chill, cool guy. Odd dropped some hints it was related but it turned out not to be.

Though in the end, it doesn't really bug me since a BOC remix/co production would only clutter their schedule and delay LP5 anyway. And Lord only knows how long the wait for that is. So in the end, it worked out

Tbh, I wondered this as well and decided to purchase a physical copy whether there is any affiliation or not. I doubt it, but I do get some serious Macquarie Ridge feels on End Is Important. I can’t get enough of it!

Imagine being someone who in their own right is talented at what they do but has a more successful mate and you're promoting your own wares and all people keep asking you in interviews is if your mate has anything coming up? Must feel shitty.
You're certainly not going to change your own craft in order to be promotion for your mates work are you?
