Yeah, I'm really hoping now we get Geogaddi ++, proper fucked up. I'd like to think the brothers decided on an album theme a few years ago....
'things are pretty fucked in the world, right? Maybe the new album should go even darker'
(working on the album for a few years, things get even worse)
'things aren't getting any better, maybe this is a bit upbeat to release now?'
(more work, things still getting worse)
'Yeah, OK, we really need to fuck things up for this one, right?'

I love these posters - similar 90s cypherpunk futuristic design language to FSOL Lifeforms (EP and LP) and Dead Cities

idk thats actually my favourite one. Has a weird emotion to it.

The children are blind. This is an incredible tragedy. What happened?

Looking at this girl, it does look AI generated. It doesn't look drawn, it doesn't look 3d generated, doesn't look like a photo that was manipulated. Look at her mouth, looks too long. Is that a shadow contouring her lower cheekbone on the left? Looks lower than what would naturally occur. They may have even used an AI that was deliberately tweaked to produce slightly wonky results that look passable at a glance for a psychological effect. Gotta say if I'm wrong though and it's a real pic of some girl this is a bit unfortunate

But whereas early 90s ambient techno (which I love) had an optimistic techno-futurist exotic sonic-swamp sort of positive aesthetic... I'm getting post-TH, cold, uncaring souless AI vibes from these posters. This album will be dark AF

Likely social commentary on children taking the brunt of the damage and tragedy we inflict upon our world.
Commentary on Gaza perhaps? Or on war in general? They do almost appear 'undead,' so you have to wonder. :/

Great find!! Kudos for ripping down the poster somone else placed over top of it.
I've asked my friend Jon, who is Canadian but lives in LA, to keep his eyes peeled for me.

I wonder if there is deliberate cross promotion with the Stones and in cali Girl Skateboards posters. Maybe the album is called Tape Five because of the 5th big record?

Thank you! My hope is that at least one fellow listener sees the top of the poster from behind the car before it’s covered again or taken down.
And yes, it was cool to the see the Girl posters.

Hold on. None of you have ever heard of Village of the Damned? Really? I mean, the remake was done by John Carpenter of all people (see Gemini).
