Genesis 1, 12 -And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was
good.
Genesis 2,16 -And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every plant of the garden thou mayest freely eat.
And thats just the first chapter

I had a dream a long time ago where somehow, in a blaze of faulty dream logic brilliance, I'd come to realize that the members of Boards of Canada were actually a group of houseflies. I felt like a genius, and it was just fully pleasing. There was also a bumblebee in the group, and I dreamt I looked up "Bumblebee" on Wikipedia, and the info was "Big bee, Hairy as hell"
The whole situation after awhile flung off into this strange transcendent psychedelic sequence...all because I had learned BoC's secret.

I had a dream a week or so ago..a friend and I had won some contest - and the prize our own copies of some of boc's older work. There was all this heavy security we had to deal with to get them...some lady had them in a steel case with two guards following her. It was hilarious? I can't remember what albums we got, one of mine was Acid Memories I think. But I woke up before we got to listen to them...ahaha

I had a strange dream that I was pinball, and the world and its continents were the board, and I kept getting flung up by the arctic, but then at one point I came to Svalbard, and then I was this flying thing, and I went to an island that was beautiful. I flew low on the island, looking at all the wonderful forests. There were huge intimidating ruins, and I continued to survey them. I kept going and i saw a huge archway over a huge cave in a mountain. THEN SUDDENLY A HUGE FUCKIN TITAN CAME WALKING OUT AND I WOKE UP!!!!

i just had a vivid dream in which i was on a trip to the coast of africa with my family. but as always it was a dreamworld less like what you'd imagine coastal africa to be like, and more like some crazy odyssey world. it was all high cliffs and little motels built on dodgy overhangs and beaches with raging seas. it was dark and stormy, a kind of place where your village and world could be swallowed up by any number of dangers at any time. my family was having a great time as always, and i was the sad sack who wasn't participating in having a lot of fun and just being anxious and nauseous the whole time. i saw two dinosaurs swimming end-to-end in the ocean looking over the cliffs once, they were the size of oil tankers and their backs rose out of the water plated with scaly armor.
the trip dragged on and on for days, and we stayed in this communal hotel place that was all concrete and sheetrock with gurneys and cots, and packed to the brim with friendly but dirty smelly people of all types and colors. everyone and everything got dirty in that place, it was like a constant party going on except no music, just thousands of detached conversations roaring on as everyone went in a different direction. the place itself was no bigger than your average basement. eventually along the way i made friends with a guy and latched onto him by sending text messages back and forth in an attempt to stave off insanity.
then as if out of nowhere i realized that my sister's dog charlie was being euthanized - charlie loves everyone in our family and is a desperately affectionate and perpetually shell-shocked stray we rescued from some terrible and abusive situation he'd gotten away from, he looks like some kind of mix between golden retriever and australian shepherd. so i got home from africa as quick as i could, though i don't remember how and home was just as dark and forboding a world but not as wildly natural or threatening and dangerous as africa was. i pleaded with the guy to stop the operation and after telling me it was too late a few times he finally abated and said he could try stopping it, and took charlie out of some kind of gassing machine that looked like a drier. his nose was all taped up for some reason, and he was bursting with excitement to see me and be out of that place. i was relieved but since it was a dream i was still anxious and full of dread (for some reason i feel that way in every dream i have).

my best friend recently had a mental and physical breakdown, the last dream i remember is of him opening and closing curtains throughout my dream. he would go up to the window, open the curtains, peer out and then close the curtains. i remember saying to him 'be who you are, it's me...it's okay'. anyways, this particular dream was far more intense that i have described, but left me feeling so empty.

i wish i could remember my current dreams...i can only remember some of when i was a child cuz they were kinda fucked up or weird...the only normal one i can recall is one where i just fall for hours and when i was about to hit the floor i would just wake up and the bed would be shaking as if i had just fallen into it...that was fun, the rest are too dark, surreal and twisted for a child, what is wrong with me?! hah

Last year, I took a nap, and I had a dream... a simply auditory dream. Devoid of images or occurrences, I could only hear. But what I heard was the most beautiful music I have ever heard. I remember the feeling the harmonies pulsed through my body, the melodies wrapping me in their lush and loving sound. I slowly began to come to, and I knew that I must do everything within my ability to remember that music, but I couldn't... it faded... Dammit!

hey I've been reading this book by Chuck Klosterman called Sex, Drugs, and Cocoa Puffs: A Low Culture Manifesto and in it there are 23 Questions You Should Ask Everybody You Meet and this one question seems to apply to this thread so yeah answer if you like
At long last, someone invents "the dream VCR." This machine allows you to tape an entire evening's worth of your own dreams, which you can then watch at your leisure. However, the inventor of the dream VCR will only allow you to use this device of you agree to a strange caveat: When you watch your dreams, you must do so with your family and your closest friends in the same room. They get to watch your dreams along with you. And if you don't agree to this, you can't use the dream VCR.
Would you still do this?

I would love a dream-vcr!
But I think I'd pass. I believe dreams are for your own eye's only.
It would be like staring directly into someones soul.
It would be rude to show it to people, let alone wanting to see someone elses dream

well i'm a sucker for anything chuck's been writing, but yeah it makes for a pretty good bathroom read, the whole book are various rants about certain pop culture items (such as mtv,and the like) my personal favorite essay is Every Dog Must Have His Every Day, Every Drunk Must Have His Drink which is all about David Bowie but if you like someone who points out pop culture for what it is really worth then you'll love this book
really this is the best review that summarizes this book

i love those dreams, and the same exact thing happened every time for me except for once last year. i was playing like some sort of piano where the keys were rounded on top and the 'white' keys were blue and the 'black' keys were green. I was playing with amazing fluency and I had the most beautiful harmony, and I was kind of lucid, so as I was playing i would just yell the chords out as loud as i could. I had no idea what i was playing, but in the dream i just 'knew' (i'm sure you know what i'm talking about) what the chords were. Amazingly, I remembered the chords when I woke up, I played it on my guitar. . . and it was nothing special. it was kind of disappointing.

I had a dream last night that was incredibly vivid and real. I had to defend a house from intelligent zombies. Had to try to block off windows and doors, which took a while. Find hiding places for other residents in the house, find use-able weapons. It was crazy! Strange thing was that there were no parts in my dream that just randomly cut to another place or time, it was one stream of consciousness in my dream, almost lucid, but not quite. As soon as they figured out how to use fire, which I saw through a peephole I made, I woke up, and I'm glad I did wake up.
The detail and way the dream was presented was unlike any other dream I've had. It was very intense, and I was very composed and came up with some pretty good ideas in defending the house too. I'm proud of my dream self
Just thought I'd share that.

i have been going through a phase recently...where, well...i can remember certain dreams from years back. that i'm doing a certain something, be it cycling, walking, lying in bed...yet at the back of my mind, a dream is playing like a film...i'm fully aware of my surrounding and reality, yet i'm also able to see the dream at the same time. and the fact that i can see the dream affects the way i see reality...
i don't think i'm making much sense...zzz

you're making sense, I get that sometimes too. Sometimes I'll kinda daze out, but not really and have like a flashback from when I was about 2-3 years old. It's awesome, I love every second of it.
