Download still works here - cover from Google.
the volume is the same as on the original rip, I think its that it hasn't been increased rather than that it has been decreased. This is just obsessive purism on my part - increasing gain then re-encoding the file would result in a loss of quality.

The download only work for a few old tunes vol 1.
For Random 35 tracks tape

NB: You can increase the volume of mp3 without reencoding with mp3gain for example.

Replaygain metadata is the best way to alter volume without touching the audio data in any way, because the volume adjustments are written in tags. It also offers a great target volume and is quite widely supported. Portable mp3 players might not read the info, but otherwise.

Love it.
INB4 hoards of obscure mp3 players people swear by even though they're kinda crap.
Having said that; RETRORESPECT if you managed to keep using your CREATIVE ZEN or ARCHOS after seeing your mates' ipods.

Not sure how to interpret this post, but I think iPod lacks Replaygain support as well. It does offer some volume normalization option, but I don't know how that normalization is exactly achieved. I don't use it myself.

Thanks a lot! I found on Soulseek a lossless FLAC remastered version of Random 35 tracks with a very nice sound.
