Sevenfortyseven was an awesome track for me to listen to after I smoked 10x. I also liked listening to the band Tortoise and oddly enough Mr Bungle's "Disco Volante" album..I swear some albums have loads of sounds that equate to universal/spiritual archetypes, I'm sure BoC has a million of them!!

In regards to any experiences I've had...they've all been so grand and profound that I couldn't possibly do it justice by explaining...not even close! Next time I'm gonna put on Happy Cycling before I smoke it!

I was thinking something like this today.

Except I think DMT sounds even scarier, from the perspective of someone experiencing it.

True, I think DMT is a ''stronger'' drug than salvia. Problem is I've been wanting to use salvia for a while, but just quit with other stuff like exstacy and mephedrone, and kinda want to quit with drugs as a whole, except for smoking weed. And the problem with Salvia then is, that you need to build it up, if you do it once, you don't feel anything. Tried it 2 times, and just felt stoned, nothing else.

Annoying, I want to feel like my couch. Haha.

it can be scary without, or even with, proper preparation and setting. i can't believe it's legal either, with our overzealous lawmakers, although that's coming to quick fruition soon in the US.

BUT, that's not to say that I think it shouldn't be legal. What I put into my own body is no business of lawmakers IMO. Skin->inwards is my domain. Even if it kills me/pycho ward. Going into any substance/activity, I think people need to reclaim self-accountability, and not relying on a government to tell them what they can/can't do.

For the record, I think salvia is best used by chewing, not by smoking. I believe that's how it's mainly used by indigenous people-much lighter, focused, but prolonged effects. Similar to like 1/2 eighth of boomers or less even depending.

i am kinda curious to try DMT actually. From what I've heard its naturally created in our brains and is released when we die or when we're at near death(which would explain all those spiritual experiences people have when they come close to dying) . So if anyone is concerned about trying psychedelics before they die, you will inevitably experience DMT before you die.

I seemed to have missed this thread entirely the first time. I grow, and stock salvia, so i always have large amounts of it on hand

salvia + music is beautiful if you can handle it

And yes Stry Craty Bya, music IS that different on drugs. Drugs alter your perceptions, so in turn, the alter the music is sometimes better, or worse ways.

I am a former drug user, but I still use salvia... for me, it's therapeutic once in a while. And I don't smoke it, i make a quid like the aztec's used to.

salvia is a force to be reckoned with. The trip is never really enjoyable for me but there is, as others have said, a sense of something so real (but mindbending) that for some reason keeps me wanting to find out more.

commonly experienced: gravity pulls (particular direction, not always down), waves of sound, spinning, severe time warping, feelings of other people being frighteningly close by, childhood nostalgia, sweating profusely and feeling like you have to move an unconscious body after the effects wear off.

I can safely say that smoking salvia while listening to Ulrich Schnauss' 'far away trains passing by' is something I cannot wrap my head around, despite it transforming into some kind of four dimensional clay.

goldfrapp's felt mountain is likely to take you far away too.

lol salvia. the first psychedelic I ever did. In retrospect, it represents none of the qualities that are good about trippin' baws. It's pretty much exclusively a mindfuck and doesn't really help you to experience yourself or your surroundings in any new way. imho. Wouldn't bother trying it again.

Having said that, it was very weird and different. I just kinda felt like it broke my brain a bit, made me go wonky for ten minutes.
