Yes indeed. Love this album. Made a lovely accompaniment to my Summer last year.
Recommended.
OMG, thanks for reminding me I had downloaded this ages ago! This is a great album.Aesthetics wrote:Let me bump this with an artist which has been discussed before on here but never got into this thread.

You hold your own, Cole. I hardly think of your music in relation to Boards of Canada.turquoise70 wrote:Should I be nervous that some of my tracks are directly inspired by BoC songs/titles? I mean I remember this whole thing about how NIN's Down In It was directly inspired by Skinny Puppy's Dig It and how much acrimony there was between them and their respective fans over it. I like both tracks and it doesn't bother me that a song could be directly inspired by another, but then again it also doesn't bother me that early hip hop directly sampled disco and funk songs and whatever else
if we've already had this discussion 800 times on this forum we don't have to have it again, this topic just made me wonder. as an artist who is directly inspired by BoC a lot of the time, and who is currently just SHAMELESSLY emulating artists like Danger and ST and whoever else, I get worried that this is going to blow up in my face someday. I'm not doing it for the sake of trying to hit their style head-on and say "look how close I came" but just because I think they're doing awesome music and I like it and want to do it too.
for some strange reason, i cant unzip this on my macbook. the DL itself worked fine. any ideas?Aesthetics wrote:Let me bump this with an artist which has been discussed before on here but never got into this thread.

Let me know if you still have difficulties with the file and I'll upload the tracks separately.hexagon son wrote:for some strange reason, i cant unzip this on my macbook. the DL itself worked fine. any ideas?
Yeah. When I hear the word "clone" I instantly think about shitheads like TychoAesthetics wrote:Let me know if you still have difficulties with the file and I'll upload the tracks separately.hexagon son wrote:for some strange reason, i cant unzip this on my macbook. the DL itself worked fine. any ideas?
Cole: I think the word clone is not the right one to use after all. Perhaps the topic should've been "BoC alikes" or something like that. I never really realized that a clone is an exact copy of the original...
