heh, this really took my by surprise because I've never heard this before until today...

I think it's pretty neat, and what with all the talks of a new album(s???) coming, it kind of fit!

Also, I was reading some of the older posts and it talks about the birthday debacle, with Wiki showing Mike Sandison (born June 1, 1970) and other dates showing up on other sites...I'd like to think it's June 1st because that's my birthday!

So, officially, according to me, who has no affiliation with the band, Mike Sandison's official birthday is June 1!

Well, the 'xyz' bit is definitely from this, but I don't know if that's what you were referring to. If you mean the short backmasked vocal near the beginning, I don't know. I reversed and filtered the section and was able to make out "...still gonna be a... and lots of nice... lunch is ready!" It's probably another Sesame Street sample.

Yes, correct. The sample near the beginning. Thanks for your help!

copyright issues with a sample they used, or so I heard...
It recently came to my attention that Boards sampled this track by Tangerine Dream founder Edgar Froese for 'XYZ'...

This is obviously why it wasn't released.

I always thought that was a sample but could never place it. Don't think I've heard this before though so just random.
Nice spot!

Which is such a quintessentially John Peel response to an interviewee's answer. LOL, indeed.

Even to those of us who did not listen religiously to his Radio 1 programme, John Peel is a legend.
