Coincidences, coincidences! As I'm watching Akira on boxing day tomorrow, make a big thing of it. I don't mean to put a dampener but it was a naff lethargic one this year. Telly is all repeats (genuinely!) this time around. Where's the EFFORT bbc?? Or maybe their programming is not for me...
But hey, why so glum chum? I'm 17 for goodness sake, not 60.
I didn't receive these upcoming specifically for Christmas as I actually bought them myself, to watch in the period between the 25th and Jan 1st:
- Three Ghibli films of pure escapism (all of "Kiki's Delivery Service", "Grave of the Fireflies" and "Whisper of the Heart" will take me somewhere nice.
)
- Ninja Scroll. Last night's main event, and what it was too. Though I'll admit it felt it's length. It's a right samurai gorefest and features a woman to whom if you shag, you die within days. The poisonous lady!
- Appleseed (90s OVA version.) A Gainax mecha to be watched in the wee hours.
