Grouper will be performing on the Mouth to Mouth festival in London in April.

I hope there will be some Dutch dates too around that time.

And while I'm at it, I read this on www.kranky.net :
01.07.13
we are going to discontinue taking pre-orders for the two upcoming Grouper vinyl LP titles at least until release date. we have been overwhelmed with pre-orders, and we have to make sure we can fill all of the distribution and mail orders we already have before resuming sales. we expect to resume taking orders for these two vinyl LP titles on or around the release date of 02.07.13, sorry for any inconvenience.

just to be clear, these two releases will NOT be limited on vinyl and they will remain in print, so please remain calm and you will get as many copies as you like in short order.
This has prevented me from pre-ordering the new record, but I'm glad to see that people apparently are eager to give their money to Kranky and Grouper despite the fact that the new record leaked early. I'm definitely gonna place my own order as soon as it's up again. Grouper has given me extreme amounts of listening pleasure so some cash spending in her direction is definitely due.

Definitely happy to give my money to Kranky for this. Been waiting for a reissue of 'Dragging...' ever since I first heard a note of music from it, and this new release seems to be shaping up nicely, too.

Based on her music, I think she just spends most of her waking hours at the bottom of a deep, dark cave. Might also explain the shell-shock look she has going.

(not a shot; I love her & her music, just poking a little fun :))

HELP REPLACE LOST RECORDS

Last year the majority of my copies of Grouper records grew mold while I was traveling.

What is still missing:
-Way Their Crept 12" (Type version)
-Dragging a Dead Deer 12" (Type version)
-CTWATW 12" (FIRST Root Strata version)
-7" on NNF that I did art work for (two faces on a cream background)
-City Center split 7" (black branches on the cover)
-Pumice split 7" (Soft Abuse)

If anyone can get me a copy of these I'll gladly trade--I have Hold/Sick, Roy/Grouper split, orange DDD vinyl. Can make an original cover for any of them. Also have prints of art, printed tee shirts. Email if you can help.

Here's a video of the Amsterdam gig (although it's basically just only audio). We all sat in a rather small space around the artists in the dark. I hadn't slept well the night before and had consumed some beers at the venue by the time Mirrorring came on, so you can imagine that it was a strangely sweet experience for me sitting there, eyes closed in a dark room, only meters removed from the artists, absorbing the music.
