I've registered on twoism just to show my appreciation for
September Tape Fire. I have to admit that I found it through a music blog a few weeks ago (although I genuinely can't remember where), and have been playing it A LOT since. Both the ambient sounds and punchy beats add up to a fine EP, one that genuinely deserves to be heard by more people out there.
Not one to see musicians go hungry, I did some detective work and found myself on the
theylivewesleep site where I ordered a copy of the cassette, even though I don't currently have the equipment to play it (my cassette deck died years ago, haven't got around to replacing it to date). I must have been one of the lucky few (25 copies for the first print!) because I found an air mail packet from Canada sat on the doormat this morning, with an Acheron cassette nestled within.
Further investigation led me to twoism, where I've now come to understand that both Pantheon and Geodesic make up Acheron. It's a great tale of the Internet that geographically displaced musicians can come to together in such a way and make such great music. I'd be keen to know how you both reach the sounds made in
STF equipment-wise, but I understand that some folks prefer to keep that quiet so I won't be offended if you'd rather not impart your methods in that respect.
Hopefully there's more to come from Acheron, is there any new material planned on the horizon?
