Oh man. Pete Standing Alone is an excellent track when your brain chemistry is altered. I've listened to that song in particular several times when I've shroomed. Something about is just so desolate but beautiful.

TaoTapeTao wrote:It was funny- recently I did some very good acid with a few friends, two of which were new to it and I underestimated how strong this stuff was gonna be. Basically when it started it was the usual chaos of normal reality being peeled away which I'm fairly used to by now but my buddy was fighting it and starting to freak out big time.

For a while things were weird and I just tried to keep the energy good and calm him down and at one point started to play boards of canada (music has the right). I didn't really expect this but almost instantly everyone became so happy and energetic and my friend who was kinda distressed completely forgot about it and was just having a good time.

That is proof that boc and tripping go hand in hand. Even their more creepy stuff was entrancing and just beautiful.
I have never had a "bad trip" but I've had moments of discomfort/weirdness and one of those times geogaddi really lifted me up and got me centered. I tend to not listen to a lot of music when I trip except at the beginning and end, but when I do I find stuff that's on the "weirder" side (for lack of a better term) is the most comforting for me. Anything too conventional makes me a little anxious.

I haven't tripped in a couple years now. I love mushrooms though and would eventually like to try dmt.

I listened to Echus on DMT recently, I fortunately still trip a lot these days, i listened to tomorrows harvest on 4g on shrooms watching the sun come up when it came out.

Echus was wonderful though, dmts always really intense for me so I always put on soft tracks like brian eno or tortoise, it was pretty beautiful, sat in my garden staring out at the stars and balls deep in geometry patterns
